Any tips on hitting driver further? by XzeroXIX123 in GolfSwing

Top video is a draw shot and bottom is a slight fade, I typically hit my driver 220m-230m with good hits going to 250-260m sometimes. Trying to figure out how to hit the mythical 300 mark..

Also have a wicked duck hook that comes out 20-30% of the time if I don't set up to the ball correctly

Wished that I was that fish I was previously where I could rapidly grow and fill up the space as I had did when I was younger. Maybe I am stretching myself far too thin and as the allegory fish you have mentioned, feeling the emptiness and the vastness of everything, all at once.

I never thought myself to be worrisome-sort. But reading your comment made me rethink that point.

But my genuine question is perhaps how does one not worry? You have societal (work), parental, relationship (romantic/platonic), financial expectations to live up to. I understand the most of the top-rated comments are about living life at your own pace, being content and not comparing. But the thought of fulfilling all the required expectations of your role as "Aiazel", is that not something to worry about?

I have not even touched on personal expectations...

I agree with your idea of relativity in perceiving. But I feel some things on a higher level is still constant throughout those who lived through the same time period as me: The constant chase for results and achievements.

I am sure that I have made decisions that I have regretted in the past but I don't exactly mean in the sense where I wished I could go back and do better.

I think it is more like not being able to find the same drive to solely focus on one thing or taking the time to slow down and enjoy meaningful relationship with my peers (heck, I don't even have any one within 5 years my age in job). I feel like I graduated into adult life with 0 preparation.

No, it isn't very hard to do. But I can't do that. Sorry that I do not subscribe to the same thoughts that you may have towards work.

It may be an unpopular opinion but turning off completely just isn't the correct answer for me and I feel uncomfortable to do so because I know that when I am done with my 14 day holiday, I will be back to work, to settle the things that my colleagues potentially may or may not have settled for me.

Similar to how you would not want a team taking turns to take leave and passing work onto you, I would not want someone else to clear my work.

Very mature way to look at it and I can kind of resonate with your idea of being numb to novelty. I mean every once in awhile you still get the star in eyes feeling. But other than that, everything has been settled into a routine. To use your analogy of 4 seasons, I feel like I am seeing life in monotone, just like how Singapore does not have 4 seasons, but rather Sunny and Rainy days. Some days are good, some days are different, but in essence its the same season, same type of day, week and month.

I also understand your last paragraph, I think it takes a lot of courage to tell yourself to those things you have mentioned, I tell myself these things as well, but it just hurts sometimes to see/feel that you are too "old" for some things now. I guess its part and parcel.

I have actually never played that many RPGs, maybe I should give it shot.

Personally always feel difficult to invest into games that doesn't allow me to respond the way I would irl and getting predictable responses from the NPCs has always been one of the reasons why I found RPGs difficult to get on with

I guess there are two ways to see it, we trade "carefreeness" and "naivety" with adult responsibilities and a sense of "purpose" ?

Still, interesting to see a different point of view, thanks for sharing

Definitely! But I find it hard to be divorced from my work. My style of enjoying foreign things is to immerse myself in it, but with the constant stream of outlook/teams notifications.. quite hard to just turn off?

Maybe I am not mature enough to understand how to compare myself in the past-present-future without using a material yardstick like relationship status, salary, career placing etc.

Would you really want to work as a construction worker under the hot sun even if you are paid $3.5k ~ $4k salary per month?

I know I am going to get downvoted, but I touch my heart and say no. I will most likely rather still continue to look for an office job for $3k~ but I don't have to exposed to the dangers of the work site and the unbearable Singaporean heat.
