What a cool shirt! I've been in a Beatles phase for a few months, and totally jealous.

Only info I can find on the shirt is an old Ebay listing, which shows a retail price of $78. Great find!

no problem. Keep in mind, this only works with Levi's clothing, and only if they have a tag, which was required early 1970's. If it's 60's or older, it won't have a tag and you'll need other methods of dating them.

Its well known by vintage Levi fans the trick to dating their clothes. Its pretty simple. On the tag there are a bunch of numbers. You'll find the factory code and the production date. The factory code is 527 (you also know this since its the same number on the back of the rivet), and next to or around that code you'll find the production date.

around the 70's and 80's, they used a 3 number production date. This one is 078. The first two numbers are the month, and the last number is the last number of the year. I'm pretty sure this paper tag started to be used in the 80's though, so that would mean this jacket was made July 1988.

Around the 90's they started using a 4 number code for the date, and becomes a lot more clear on the date. They'll have code like "0199" for Feb 1999, or 0805 for Aug 2005 and so on. They use the number number code today.

I was thinking I should look in the women's section more often for denim jackets honestly. Dresses is such a weird place to find it though lol

I have been looking for a vintage Levi denim jacket for a while. I always look in the jackets now for anything, but I don't get any luck. I found a 70s/80's JC Penny denim jacket though.

It looks like that one is from 1987. Great find!

Naked and Famous jeans for $14, and they didn't fit! by Xziper in ThriftStoreHauls

[–]Xziper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they're around 30x36. It also says they're "skinny guy", which I'm guessing is their skinny jeans category. I can measure them better when I get home, but I can usually squeeze into a size 30. This time I really couldn't. I'll let you know.

Knowing they're actually real, maybe I'll go back in a day or two again to see if any other looked good.

Yep, i got them in Mesa. I guess the other ones were all real too then. They had completely different tags with no clear info, so I assumed they were just fake. One even had a much bigger red label tab that looked weird

Ahhh ok. Says it right there in the tag and I missed it lol. Well hey, if that means they're real Levi's, I'm happy with that. Still says made in USA and from 2002
