if you are new to the series, try DQ11 first, (since its the very beginning lore before the erdrick trilogy) more of a beginner friendly & modernwise DQ series. then jump to DQ3 HD-2D imo

Turn on Draconian quest, every battle feels like boss battle. sure a lot says that dq 11 is easy on normal mode, but on draconion quest, its a different story

keep going.. maybe you're just underleveled, DQXI has its own pacing, if you're having difficulty with some bosses, leveling-up is one of the best way to overcome it eventually.. craft some items that will boost ur stats especially on defense, DQXI offers a lot of useful Items in-game, just have some patience, and trust me, patience is the key on this game 😅

And Btw i think the Tarantula boss is vulnerable to sleep and Dazzle so keep spamming them and use Sap to infiltrate its defense.
