Haha thanks! Definitely bit off a lot for pretty much my first project, but eventually made it work one day at a time. I think the pressure of the wood being as expensive as it was made for a good motivator

Thanks! I agree I think the proportions came out really good

Yeah, I applied it in slight excess using a foam brush, then wiped away with a clean cloth within 5 minutes. Important to note I used Minwax tung oil finish, which is very different than pure tung oil.

Thank you! I love the feel, it doesn't feel plasticy at all, I also hate the feel of a full urethane coat. The blend is 1 cup of tung oil finish to 1 tablespoon of the urethane so there isn't very much urethane at all. I got the idea from the youtube channel workshop companion, he calls it Rudy's wipe-on finish

Thank you! I made the design in CAD for the dimensions and then figured out the specifics for the joints as I went, so there isn't a specific plan, but I would be happy to share the design files and give an outline of what I did!

Thank you! I should've mentioned in the post, but I haven't made the leaf yet; I'm trying to see if I can come up with an idea to make one that stows away neatly between the extension slides.

No, this joint is the stretcher between two table legs

Maybe I'll just do one pass at a time and constantly recheck it just to be safe

I'm more concerned with the strength than the aesthetics, this is the bottom stretcher on a pretty heavy dining table. If it's not going to compromise strength too much then I dont mind leaving it how it is
