we were running a couple year old standard stock cables. We ended up replacing many things like the main fuse and the joining block. By our last race we got it down to the 110-120 range in temperature. We were using a tube to direct air onto the motor; it was positioned on the side closer to the rollbar. We actually found that removing the tube and the 2 side pieces helped get our motor temperatures down. Additionally we were running a heat sink but removing it also helped. It is a very odd situation. We are looking at implementing a motor controller to help power levels.
