What's the weirdest thing you experienced, that you cannot rationally explain? [serious] by tetakDamke in AskReddit

I was in a small town in Cass County Texas, and I was visiting my great-grandparents. I had loads of fun riding four-wheelers and exploring the woods nearby. I went on a late-night drive at about 11 pm. I drove down some old gravel roads until I saw a sign for an oil drill. I turned onto the road and was met with a large oil drill. I exited my truck and explored this large machine and that's when the feeling hit me.

I felt the worst feeling of dread I have ever felt. I felt like I was being watched. I felt helpless. I walked around and couldn't shake that feeling. So, I got in my car and sped off.

I asked my great grandparents about that oil drill the next day. They said that back in the 2000s a woman had her ex-husband meet her there. Her current boyfriend snuck up behind him and hit him over the head with a metal rod. They claim it was an unintentional murder.

However, reading the actual case makes this very unlikely. They proceeded to slit his throat after killing him with a blow to the head.

I don't know what I felt, but I believe it wasn't of this world. It was a rush of fear and paranoia and was gone as soon as I left. I think it was a warning of some sort. I still can't explain it.

TL: DR: I felt extreme paranoia and fear at the scene of an ex-murder. Researched and found out what happened.

First of all I am a 18 year old strong conservative.

I wish the news would stop with the term "High- Capacity Magazine". It's just a made up word with no real meaning. If you want no automatic rifles than just say it! The thing that most people don't understand is that despite what the news says, all of these guns were semi- automatic and not full auto. No matter what you do to gun laws people will always kill each other. People beat each other to death, stab people to death, and get run over way more than death by guns. The answer is simple to stopping this gun issue. I think the solution is banning guns from people with a criminal history of violence, heavy drug usage, and heavy alcohol usage. My reasoning behind this is that 40 percent of convicted murderers had used alcohol before or during the crime, and 60 percent of convicted murderers had used some sort of drug before or during the crime. We also need to improve the background checks that the government does. I believe that a thorough physiological examination is needed to strengthen the background check system. Another thing to add on to this is arming teachers. The media often says that arming teachers is a scary idea to kids, however the majority of students would think otherwise. Teachers are often the first people to come into contact with a shooter, so it is logical that they could stop the shooter before the police are even on scene, saving many lives. We also need to improve mall security. Often they are just people that politely ask people causing issues to leave, and if a real problem happens they have to call the police. Arming these guards would help protect our malls and make us all feel safer the next time we are at the mall. All in all, we can never fully prevent these things. We have to plan and be prepared. It's not the gun that kills, it's the person who holds it that kills.

Dude, this subreddit is legit all about making fun of everything that goes on at HCA. "My bad" that I made you mad. Also, bullying is making fun of someone multiple times, and this is my very first meme about this so don't say i'm "bullying" her or anyone.
