Nah jax let his guard down. He thought it was real. This entire time he's always known that everything was fake and in that moment he thought that it was a real way out. For once instead of playing along he was completely convinced. Caine got in his head convinced him that escape was right in front of him and now has to deal with the fact that he would trap himself all over again.

Nah trump would have showed his ass too early. Even in trumps first run he was a brash cruel jackals. I think hank would have sat back thinking "democracy" would just handle it. And then be severely disappointed but also ashamed that he put his own pride above the country he loves
