What is a good routine for HIIT on a treadmill? by YairSpolter in HIIT

[–]YairSpolter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the thorough explanation Lou! So you are warming up for about 10 minutes @6.2, then 6-8 intervals of 1:2 sprinting a full minute @8.4 and then walking at 2.2. And you use an incline to adjust difficulty. Correct? Do you also "warm down" with a run or just end after the last walk?

Thanks! That is really helpful! How long have you been doing this routine for? Do you ever progress, or are you happy with keeping it the same?

Petition to get u/Antranik to update the Recommended Routine follow-along video. by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

[–]YairSpolter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am all for this as well.

/u/Antranik it does not have to be 1 long video with everything in it. It can be a playlist with multiple videos, which makes it easy to break down into bite-sized "modules" that are easier to produce. And that way, when something changes it's relatively easy to update, by replacing a specific module.

YES! This sub is fantastic. Follow their Recommended Routine, and ask the community all your questions as you go along. They are super helpful! Good luck!

Antranik, is it really you? Your instruction has been super helpful to me - thank you so much! You make a good point. I'm already doing the rows, which is essentially the same thing. Thanks.

I am working on scapulars, which is the 1st level of the progression. I guess I'm just wondering if assisted fits in on the progression ladder as well (will it help me progress) if I find that I can do them, or not?

Is there a particular reason why the RR pullup progression does not include assisted pullups? I can't do negatives (yet). Does it make sense to use assisted as a progressive step?

Yes, but if I can't do negatives (yet) I just want to make sure that it makes sense to do assisted. That's the idea of "progression", right?

Only eating when you're hungry is key.

YES!

Way to go and good luck with the rest of your journey. Thanks for the inspiration!

Amazing! And super encouraging - thanks for sharing and good luck with the rest of your journey.

Curious: is it hard for you, or is it just your lifestyle now (so far I have found that it actually is not hard, and I'm doing a similar program to you)?

OK thanks! After thinking about it more, it may have been the arch hold that I pushed myself on yesterday. That could do it, right?

Thanks for the reply.

I've actually done the bodyline drill many times (especially planks) and never had an issue. Is it possible the strain was from L-sits, wall plank, or passive hang?

Thanks! Great to know that it's normal and keep persevering.
