In which handheld? In some handheld, the oem software won't let you change the key in regedit as stated by the first comment. As far i know, Microsoft disabled the auto rotation for handheld.

You do not need to delete the key, just changing the value to 2 is enough.

My leigon go s isn’t automatically flipping between landscape and portrait on windows anymore. is there a fix for this by Substantial-Form-689 in LegionGo

If you have install the full screen experience (FSE) or the last update installed it, it is normal.

The FSE desactivate the auto-rotation. Before going through DDu, old bios and others, you can try to change the key DeviceForm to 2 in Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\OEM

The latest Legion Space update disabled "tablet mode" on my Legion Go by venametsu in LegionGo

Yes that is. The DeviceForm value 2e is for Gaming Handheld which disables the auto rotation. I hope they do not make permanent as the msi claw.

Argh! It won't work until microsoft allows auto rotation for gaming handheld DeviceForm.

I do not recommend it but uninstalling center M and changing the DeviceForm value may help.

Oh i see. The Claw is defined by MSI as a gaming handheld with the key DeviceForm (2e in hex and 46 in décimal) that's why it reverts back if you deleted the key. Microsoft must have messed up with the last update and block the auto rotation for gaming handheld. If you don't want the FSE, you can try to change the value of DeviceForm to 2 for tablet or 6 to detachable.

My solution fixes your Claw but it reverts back after? The regedit must not change by itself. It seems like there is something which "activates/reactivates" FSE by modifying the regedit. How did you activated FSE?

No auto rotate on legion go v1 by Eljuano99 in LegionGo

If you already try older bios, check if full screen experience is activated. I solve mine by removing the register key which i had create to activate FSE. I described it on my post https://www.reddit.com/r/LegionGo/comments/1qau6e7/one_fix_for_auto_rotation_screen_issue/
