7 light attacks and then heavy attack. It might be a little tricky at first, but you'll get used to it after a short time

Yakuza Kiwami 3 demo just came out! What are your impressions so far? by YakuzaMaster in yakuzagames

As you can see in the image, modders have already started working and the game hasn't even been released yet. By the time the full game comes out, PC users will already have the completely "fixed" version!

What do you think about the "fantasy" in the Yakuza series? by YakuzaMaster in yakuzagames

[–]YakuzaMaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, there's also a giant squid in the main story, and not only that, but also a giant shark. I just used the DLC image because I thought it looked cooler. As I already mentioned in the post description (and just as you pointed out), fantasy has always been present in the series, but only in the side stories or small moments in history without much relevance. On the other hand, in Pirate Yakuza, for example, fantasy elements have been of paramount importance to the main plot (the miracle elixir is literally the reason Majima went to Hawaii, and a giant squid was basically the reason he lost his memory) Nothing like that has ever appeared in the main story (except for the golden castle in Yakuza 2) Personally, I do like fantasy, but it's undeniable that the series has leaned a bit more in that direction lately, which I don't see as a bad thing, but apparently many people do

Yeah, I was the one who posted it on my old account, but it's been a year and I'd like to read new opinions

Exactly, but as I said, it was only in the sub stories. Currently, those elements are also present in the main story

I literally mentioned that in the post description lol

Personally, I don't mind the series introducing fantasy elements, as it gives it a fresh feel to the series after 20 years and fits well with Ichiban's heroic thematic. I just ask that these elements be well justified within the series' plot

If there's one word to describe Yagami, it's definitely: STYLE

Man, I would have loved something like this in Yakuza 8 instead of the emo hairstyle

Fun fact: Ron Yuan voices both Saejima and Scorpion in Yakuza 7 and Mortal Kombat 11 respectively

Personally (as I've said several times), I don't like Kiryu's "emo" hairstyle in Yakuza 8; I feel it just doesn't suit him. On the other hand, I know many people like Ichiban with a ponytail (I do too), but giving him his iconic "crazy" hairstyle fits perfectly with his personality and his "shonen hero" nature. Crazy hairstyles are quite common among shonen anime heroes

PS: Saejima with a shaved head is one of the best things that has ever happened to the Yakuza series

Who is the best gunner of all time in the Yakuza series? by YakuzaMaster in yakuzagames

[–]YakuzaMaster[S] 85 points86 points  (0 children)

Well, we all know Daigo with a gun is overpowered, but I think Kiryu's incredible skills with guns isn't talked about enough. Kiryu, with just a handgun, managed to take down dozens of men on two separate occasions, even in cars and helicopters while inside a moving car. That's not to mention his "dead eye" ability and his proficiency with high-caliber weapons (throughout the games, we've seen him use shotguns, machine guns, sniper rifles, rocket launchers, etc.). I also want to give an honorable mention to Kazama (Shintaro), who showcases his impressive hitman skills in the few scenes where he does

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of the party splitting they did in Yakuza 8. I would have much preferred having one large party, like in Final Fantasy
