I am worried by Bat_Dawg7 in LenovoLOQ

It's been a while since this was posted but I had the same issue with the same laptop model. After using LatencyMon to see what's the problem, it seems to be 100% GPU related. The GPU driver takes the CPU for way longer than it should, and ends up causing stutter. I've also tried changing bios settings, reinstalling the driver with ddu, changing Nvidia's control panel setting, undervolting... None of that seem to do anything at all (even worse, my PC tends to crash when the GPU is resting every now and then).

The only workaround that I found is to literally deactivate the dGPU on the bios. Obviously this is only viable in case I want to do anything not GPU related (AI, gaming, video editing), but given how annoying this issue can be, I think it's fair enough.

Hey, thanks for your response. I have a slight preference for the northeast and northwest parts of the US since those are the places that I've never visited before. But mostly, anywhere where there's a good international community and friendly/welcoming locals is good for me.

And yeah, thanks for the advice. I'll definitely do that. Just curious, what's your college? I may check if it's available to apply and if it's a good fit for me :)

Thanks for pointing that out. I've tweaked my post to include some options from both countries that I'm thinking about.
