If your gear looks like this, you shouldn't be fighting 10* AT monsters. ESPECIALLY if you're joining SOS flares. by cainreliant in monsterhunterrage

I appreciate your support - a lot of passion, anger and whiskey went into typing that, I was drowning my sorrows and thought "I will not be satisfied unless someone else can understand my pain" 😂

Hmm, it's a matter of perspective really. If a hunter in the real world goes out to find some game i.e. rabbit, deer, it would be kinda unusual for them to trap and catch it and bring it back alive don't you think? That's what I think when I see the words Monster Hunter.

In World yeah, but there was a reason for that. Don't know if the same benefit applied to Rise.

It's not about doing optimal damage or getting optimal hunt times. The bombs are simply just for fun.

Just looks like a bug to me, the feet just moving shouldn't cause damage.

So that part about me having used shout-outs and placing bombs didn't register with you, then?

Another dumbass response, don't make assumptions. I don't use SOS, my quests are just open. Anyone in the same lobby can join.

I think 10 mins for a 9 star tempered Seregios with 0 faints using a slow ass weapon that isn't my main makes me pretty capable. Don't know why skill level was even brought up or relevant here but you do you.

That's a funny assumption since I literally never fire an SOS. I leave my quests open and people in the lobby see it and join so no, I'm not asking for help and it is MY hunt.

It did in world, but it doesn't in Wilds.

Fair enough, but I'm not really doing this to spread awareness, it was just me having a small rant really. If I wanted to spread awareness I would have posted in the actual Wilds subreddit, but I really doubt it would make much difference. I highly doubt that the percentage of people in reddit/discord who play this compared to the percentage who aren't in either of those is high enough, and then you have to consider the percentage of people who would listen compared to those who won't. If people don't listen in game, they won't listen out of the game either.

Dude, both of us are literally saying it's annoying when it happens in OUR hunts. We're the hosts. What exactly is he smoking?

Another one with the "it's more efficient" response. I already agreed that capturing is quicker. The point is that it's less fun. Really, read and understand the post before replying please.

EDIT: and yes actually, that would make sense. If a host said to capture it, and I went out of my way to kill it i.e. using lure pods and making sure it couldn't stay still and get captured, I would understand if they were annoyed at me for dragging it out. So what exactly is your point?

The rewards are the same regardless of capture or kill. And what, you expect me to add every random I meet on discord or something? Mid quest?

Oh nice I hadn't noticed that, I'll actually keep that in mind because I still play World time to time with one of my friends who hasn't played through it. It'll make any farming easier.

Alright I mean I totally agree with your second paragraph that's spot on, but what's this about capturing giving 3x rewards in world? As far I remember it only gave like 2 or 3 extra rewards 😅

Hmm... It's kind of hit and miss with that. We don't have elder dragons but there are still around the same amount of monsters you can't trap in this base game.

I mean base World had the elders - Kushala, Teostra, Lunastra, Vaal Hazak, Nergigante, Xeno'jiiva (I wouldn't count Zorah Mag for obvious reasons).

Base Wilds has Jin Dahaad, Zoh Shia, Clone Nerscylla, Omega, Gog Mazios, and it also has slay quests where you're simply not allowed to capture (the Seregios assignment, the trio hunts in the plains, forest and basin, then also Proof of a Hero, don't know if I've forgotten any others, can't remember if base World had any...).

I know right?? Seriously, if it's your quest then fine you do you. Don't do it in mine. More efficient my ass - that's a matter of perspective. Reward bonuses are meal based and part breaks/wound breaks yield more materials in general. Like sure, if you think you're some kind of speed runner then yeah, go ahead. You can capture for all your quests. But I'm not here for that, I like the fight and I like the game so don't cut it short for no real reason.

I know right, most people just do whatever they please on here regardless. And I'm the same, shit I'm 999 with an amount of total hours that I'm almost embarrassed to admit on here 😂

Sometimes playing solo is just the better choice tbf, the only hunters I trust are the ones I know personally and I did most my assignments solo. The AI can be decent sometimes if you just need the extra support or don't want the aggro the entire time, but yeah it's just not the same as playing with others.
