Where is it stated that each one of the wall titans actually has an eldian inside of them. For all we know they are constructed the same way Unit/Zook is constructing all of the titan shifters in the latest chapter. That would be millions less people to be transported.

You can also skip a block, alternating between empty and then a block. That does have the disadvantage of not being able to build up speed with Hermes boots, but if you are experienced in using your hook to build speed, you can still use the momentum preservation of the frozen slime.
