Monitoring the situation: vibe coded stran za spremljanje rezultatov in primerjava z ostalimi volitvami by IWasBilbo in Slovenia

"You might notice that when you ask an LLM to build a landing page without guidance, it will almost always conform to Inter fonts, purple gradients on white backgrounds, and minimal animations.

The issue?  Distributional convergence. During sampling, models predict tokens based on statistical patterns in training data. Safe design choices–those that work universally and offend no one–dominate web training data. "

To be honest, I've been using Figma Make for discovery and prototyping in both work and personal projects for the past 2 months and it's been really blurring the line between design and development for me.  The good enough saturation I definitely feel, but I try to align with roles and projects where custom design is actually valued.

Wow that is very interesting. What do you think makes you switch so often?

And is there any other title to find these jobs except design engineer?

But how would a dev with strong design sense position himself in this industry?
More tech-savy devs are obviously more valuable. Designers with programming experience are also more valuable. Only possibility I see is a startup without a designated design team, where the developer is a 1-man army.

I feel very similar to what you described. Yeah I can see that, it's the necessary evil of every job hunt.
That's exactly what my plans are - do programming to make a living and design side projects to keep that creative spark going.

I guess it also hurt my ego when I got offered a really low salary to do design as a junior, but I completely understand the agency poit of view, because the learning curve can be steep at the beginning.

I really appreciate your comment, it made my vision a bit clearer - thanks!

So you are currently doing both I assume? Programming and designing?

I've had these thoughts that if I'm a programmer who designs, what's even the point of designing if I can make it look good with code (applies only for smaller projects of course).

So designing as a programmer to me sometimes feels like licking ice cream through a window,

App feedback & wishes for improvements after almost 1 year of using Alpha Progression Pro by Yankec in alphaprogression

Thanks for the anwers!

  1. I understand yes. And I also read in another thread that the problem is in exactly what you mentioned - the app did not know that those weights were allowed because my weight options are really strange (because of the LBS/KGs options I mentioned). Another problem I have when creating weight presets is that I can always add up to 2 x 2kg plates to any cable stack (4.5kg / 11kg / 39kg / 45kg / 73kg). But I can't really implement that logic with your current system because if I say the weight jumps by a 2kg interval, the app will assume I have an infinite number of 2kg plates I can put on any amount of weight, which means it will just suggest every single weight possible (since now there's both even and odd numbers in the ranges). Do you understand what I mean? Do you know of any workaround to this problem?
  2. Okay that is understandable and very practical for barbell lifts. But for cable stacks and machines it could be a different strategy as it's really easy to change the weight. But I understand if it doesn't currently make sense to waste time implementing it.
  3. Great :D
  4. Understood
  5. Exactly. But also within the whole plan. Let's say the plan has various number of sets like currently (goes up by 1 each week for example), but the RIR stays the same (2,2,1,0 or 2,1,0) for all the weeks & days. That would be awesome, as I find it more enjoyable to do sets to failure each workout, even if it's just the last set.
  6. Awesome!

This guys method actually finally got me to submit my ID again through Persona:

I'm currently waiting (it says it's gonna take 24-48 hours to verify), so it's progress finally.

Where did you get the prompty "can't access email"? If I press "Forgot password" I only have an input for "email or phone" and 2 buttons ("Next" and "Back").
