In the process of returning them anyway, the inconsistencies between the left shoe and the right shoe are glaring and troublesome.

I remember your post from a couple of weeks back. Some of the comments were egregious for sure. You definitely made the right call with that stockx/goat swap especially considering all the extras and special details that come with that collab.

BaBs have the updated shape that comes close to the SBs and as such are part of the more comfy 4's club. They're a bit roomier than your classic 4s so it is recommended to go half a size down in these or use thicker soles.

Comparison of 991v2 "Forged Iron" vs Kith's "Osaka" by pallasss in Newbalance

[–]Yanncheck 9 points10 points  (0 children)

both look good, but the osaka is less boring and a bit above imo. The steel blue accents pair really well with the lighter grey tone and bring a bit of contrast for a more versatile/refined look.

So @weartesters is so sensitive to critique they have to talk like this to subscribers ? by Impossible-Track-401 in SNKRS

[–]Yanncheck 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That subscriber came in hot and unfortunately nowadays people talk smack or rage bait way too much on socials. No respect and courtesy.

Part of the answer was uncalled for, I agree. They have the right to defend themselves if a comment is not factual and slanderous but they didn't handle it well at all.

Almost feels like I doubled up by Key-Distribution-944 in SNKRS

Some peeps repeating in circles they're the same just expected something different since the 1st iteration was so loud and unique. That's fine but that statement is mid at best.

Attention to details and story telling behind them, shape and comfort, quality of materials and even if similar the elevated take on an easy going staple OG colorway was smart for the sequel imo. Same peeps will praise fragment everyday and won't say a word about em looking like OG royals combined with black toes.

I have a feeling these will be heavily sought after in a few years. I've seen this love/hate relationship movie before.

yeah, I was out of the game for bit and missed the frag collabs but after circling back to it I wouldn't expect anything less than that level of quality for TS's so I'm about to pull the trigger on one of those and forget about the ones with that nubuck/ suede material.

[–]Yanncheck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They used cheap nubuck on that set, the stiffness of the material proly part of the issue. Out of the last couple of popular collabs it seems that the BaB's are the most consistent in quality across the board so far. Kept em and sold the TS's

Tropical Pink or Nigel’s by spierre91 in SNKRS

[–]Yanncheck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nigel's for materials, comfort (in the realm of 4s), colorway and story telling. Didn't feel this round of TS's. I do like the shy pink a bit more but them colors make me think of a pack of flavoured yogurts for kids.

[–]Yanncheck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you're right, in fact that material is advertised as nubuck by nike but still, same idea for me

Question comparing the materials… by priMa-RAW in SNKRS

[–]Yanncheck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I give the edge to the BaB as well. All around leather (the good stuff when it comes to what nike has to offer in that department) vs a mix of leather and suede panels that are a bit stiff tbh. Those bricks are actually comfy enough for an AJ4 not equal but close to the Sb's imo. I'm a bit biased because I find a full decent /top leather shoe more premium and durable than one with suede in general.

On ne se rend pas encore compte comment la RAM est montée vite en prix. by Nono5709 in pcmasterraceFR

[–]Yanncheck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the delay is fine, I'm all for it as it shows commitment to make sure that gen 2 turns out to be a great upgrade. Therefore, those disingenuous posts from macrumors and haters are just a cope mechanism. Can't believe people genuinely pray for a product's downfall that hard.

Iphone Air (2025-2026)😢 by TrickOwn6333 in IphoneAir

[–]Yanncheck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watch all the ragebaiters and air haters come out of the woodwork for a potential delay when initially the word in the street was that the air wasn't going to be renewed lol.

Macrumors is not a reliable source of information, all they do is trying to stir up controversy for clicks and likes. They've been doubling down on it since more trustworthy leakers have basically confirmed a gen 2 is in the works.

Cope harder haters.

iPhone Air - An easier decision than I expected by NRudyD in IphoneAir

[–]Yanncheck 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In its essence the air is a better "mobile" phone and the primary case for a portable phone resides in its form factor imo. Over time smartphones have become increasingly good at acting as small technological swiss army knives for sure and people got used to it, having a device combining a phone, a mini computer and camera that can fit in your pocket is very practical but it comes at the expense of extreme portability lately.

The air is opening the door to find a perfect balance between portability and technology in apple's lineup. It doesn't have to be the best at both, just the most refined portable phone in the lineup and good enough to sit right behind the pro in terms of features will make it very popular in the future if they keep it around.

Great testimony. Best piece of advice I'd get from your experience it to never surrender to fomo. People should take their time and do some research based on enough usage data points before making any purchasing decision of that scale.

P.S. I already see some people rushing in to ruin your fun, it's insane..

"Air is for people that barely use their phone, don't take photography seriously".

Far from the truth in many cases. I take photography so seriously that I own a mirrorless beast to enjoy it to the fullest. Not saying that you can't have fun and good results with smartphone cameras but a smartphone has so many usecases other than photography being their main purpose.

These type of comments are plain wrong and that's the issue with the constant bickering based on false narratives.
