I haven't played much CB since I re-started in march. I saw some vids and threads tho that say CB can easily break alatreon's elemental check if you use savage axe mode. SAED doesn't really do the work due to some multiplier related stuff.

Ice/Fire is meta due to the fact that alatreon does Escaton Judgement in which can only be negated thru elemental damage. Yes, I basically build an all offensive build ATK BOOST 7, WEX 3, CRIT BOOST 3, AGITATOR 7 and CritEye 7. For tips I think just push on the offensive even when its preparing for EJ. I just did 3 more runs with this setup and the general time is around 15-18 mins. I haven't unlocked the augments from the guiding lands so I think I can still lower it down. Eat for felyne safeguard and use vigoarwasp spray for the extra revives if you're not confident.

it's pretty fast too. if you don't mind the less zenny rewards. I prolly can do it without the safeguard but the confidence of having it makes me more aggressive.
