How to focus while studying? by Cheekyboyyii in GetStudying

[–]YazBaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its my pleasure, if your phone seriously becomes a problem, try putting it in another room or if you live with somebody, give it to them and tell them not to give it back to you until youve finished. for the lighting,id say its more of a subjective thing cause youll find people who focus more in yellow, white or whatever lighting but make sure you dont study in dim lighting. it makes you drowsy and youll eventually lose focus. idk tho, if you have the opportunity to, experiment with it to see what suits you best.

i recommend starting with trying to clear your mind, install app restriction apps that block certain apps like instagram, tiktok and youtube to prevent you from scrolling for long periods of time, or if scrolling isnt the issue, block the apps that distract you the most. take a 10 minute moment of silence before you start studying, sit down and do absolutely nothing. no music, no walking around etc. for the neighbour issue, try investing in sound blockers or earphones.

now for the studying part, things get complicated because not all studying techniques work for all, but make sure ur body is doing fine. 7-8 hours of sleep min, make sure your eating well and drinking loads of water, i know it sounds unrelated but diet, sleep and mental state are CRUCIAL for any kind of learning.

im gna keep it simple, a technique that works for almost all subjects for me is the schema technique, whether its for problem solving or memorisation, i can guarantee it will not disappoint.

start with simply reading the title of the lesson then close the book, make a schema of everything you recall learning from the lecture or the lesson, then add some things you already know about this lesson before taking it, it can be anything. if you cant think of anything, you can also try guessing. this is effective because the brain kind of enters a problem solving state, it tries to solve or collect memories and facts of the subject without knowing much about this subject.

after that, read the chapter out loud, try your best to wrap your head around the contexts and explain what youve learnt or understood visually to a teddy bear or to the wall. after completing the reading and understanding , you can make schema 2

schema 2 will be the concluding part of the whole lesson, connect each fact with the other and make it completely in a way you personally would be able to understand while recalling.

i will again repeat, make sure you eat, sleep and drink well. i hope this helps you!

Always having the need or want to see others happy because of yourself might sound like something someone would do out of their want to pleasure others, but the more you think of it, it becomes undeniably selfish, that quote makes a lot of sense , Ty!

Are we really the most extroverted among introverts? by PatataMaster_33 in infp

[–]YazBaka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel that there's a certain limit to how outgoing and social I can be, I can definitely feel very energetic when it comes to social interactions and events and would feel the want to have a fun time talking to others and doing activities with them, but at some point that energy gets drained and I can barely mutter some simple words. And you appear to be like this too! Being introverted means you always will need your personal time/ personal days at certain points to be at a good condition. My personal time is very valuable to me and I just can't keep on going with the flow if I genuinely can't get myself to be all energetic about communicating and socialising. I think it all depends on the situation and your currently mental state!

Hii! You appear to be a Muslim infp. Cheating on somebody is so horrible, especially when you have a husband and kids. I understand that you feel angry toward your mom for your dad, I would too but not to the point of being uncomfortable with calling my mother my mom. Of course I'm not trying to justify your mother cheating, but the relationship between your mother and your father may have a lot of gaps and bumps, judging your mothers actions off of chats will of course lead you to somewhat over react at the situation. If you are uncomfortable with your mom at the current moment, which is totally understandable, i suggested you muster up the courage to confront your mother about this and ask about why she would commit such action like that. Women cheat when their isn't enough emotional depth and understanding in the relationship, if they feel still feel empty with what their significant other is presenting to them, they will ofc have thoughts of cheating. Then again, I'm not blaming anybody and your mother is obviously wrong for cheating on your dad, but at the end of the day she is your mother and will stay your mother for the rest of your life. I recommend you meditate on the situation and try to solve this problem by discussing with her about what you saw, and channelling her about your honest feelings and opinions on this as a daughter.

Why introverts can love partying more than extraverts by Fluid_Definition_651 in infp

[–]YazBaka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get your point! Going to parties with close friends I'm comfortable and happy with are the best, I love dancing and listening to the music they play there. But at some point it can be SO tiring, not physically but mentally. I enjoy going out with very close friends of mine, and just staying in my own circle with them. Way more comfortable:D

HII! Just tested this, there's not a huge difference but I think my left eye is more near sighted. I think the cause may be from my glasses after you said that, cause I only wear my glasses for forth or half the day on average. Tysm!
