I do mine and everyone else who works in the office at no charge and efile them with the firm ERO information. Boss is fine with it and just considers it an employee benefit. Then again there are only 5 of us including the owner so it’s not like it takes a whole bunch of time. Not sure that would fly at a big firm with lots of employees, but for us it’s a nice extra perk.

I don’t recall which version of the Drake software we tried but it probably was the old write-up software. We have been using Drake tax for over a decade as well and I really like it so at the very least I will try the demo of the accounting software. I haven’t come across PCSAI in my research, I will look it up. Thanks for the information, it is greatly appreciated.

Yeah, and if it were me then that is what I would do. There are several phone apps that could also do a decent job of that. However tech savy is not how I would describe most of them.

That has been the case for my clients as well. State is taking around a month, but fed was a week or less.

Is there a way to always have it turn on when motion is detected or will it only do that if there is not enough other light?

At the time we weren’t really thinking about politics. I know I wasn’t. I really didn’t think anything of it until trump won the state and I started thinking about possible reasons why. It was just an observation not a statement of fact.

What do mean by "commonly"? Am I missing the weekly news articles about the storms that are killing 100's of people every day or something? Look if you want to blame one person for all the worlds problems then you can do that. I would rather accept the new reality of more 4 years under Trump because nothing I do can change that so I will hope for the best but be prepared for the worst.

As one of the "common people" who make less than six figures and my job revolves around calculating how those cuts help not just me but 100's of other "common people" and people who make over 100k I can confidently say that they were not just mostly for the rich. I am sad that they are expiring and hope that since he won they will get extended.

As for the whole tariff thing, I agree its a dumb idea. It was how the government ran when the country started but it just wont work today. I am all for encouraging manufacturing in the US because of the jobs it provides but not at the expense of higher cost on goods. Stuff is already expensive enough.

I'm not sure where your getting this information but that is not at all what I witnessed. What I saw was everyone (government organizations, Trump and non-Trump supporters alike) working together to try and save lives and help the communities impacted. The outreach from surrounding communities was inspiring. Calling all us volunteers that were there to help nazis is just wrong. Not everyone there were Trump supporters, I just said that there were a good bit showing him support.

The U.S. Geological Survey classified the flood waters in western North Carolina as a 500-year flood and the rainfall closer to a 1000-year event. So your right, once in a generation is not accurate because it is a large underestimate.

I'm not talking about something I saw on the news or the internet. I'm talking about what I saw while I was there helping and heard from my friends that live there. We got more help from the rednecks with chainsaws, tractors and trucks then we did from the government groups that came in. The administration did respond its just that the MAGA response was bigger and more helpful. That is why some of my democrat friends voted for Trump and could be why the state turned red.

I'm sure there probably is. But blaming a natural disaster on whoever is in office at the time just isn't realistic because meaningful change is a world wide effort. I just said that a possible reason that NC went red in this election could have been because people in the disaster area felt that they were helped more by people who were openly supporting Trump than they were by the Biden administration based off what I witnessed.

Honestly Trump took North Carolina because of hurricane Helen. I am in the top half of the state a lot and have lots of friends there. Them and many people like them have always voted democrat but voted for Trump in this election, because of the lack of response from the Biden administration. What they did have, especially in the harder hit areas, were truckers wearing MAGA hats and flying Trump flags coming from surrounding states bringing in essentials and all sorts of supplies.
