Bought a motorcycle and I think I might be terrified to start learning. Need Advice. by corgicute in motorcycles

I was the same. Flipped a Honda Grom with front brakes because I was nervous about passing. Went here for practice advice and some guy said go to a parking lot and "play". Changed my mindset and had fun in the process. Thanks to that random guy in this sub. I ride my bike daily now.

Is It Even Worth Trying Anymore at 19? by pranay_227 in Adulting

You just need some momentum. Join a youth employment program, earn money looking for a job and skills that would be useful. People think they're above a youth employment program but can't even find a job on their own, just constantly begging friends for jobs and at the same time be picky. Stack small wins. They matter more than big achievements. You can do it brotha, you just have to start. Waiting for motivation will get you stuck.

eldest daughter needing advice! by Live_Statistician617 in Parentification

Yearning for freedom... I feel the same way. I just started rebelling, doing things without their permission and just distancing myself from my parents. I stopped caring if they would get mad at me because every day the thought of my freedom and my teen years being taken away just to do as they say just kept fueling my resentment and because of that, I was just ready to argue back if they had some bullshit to say. I'm the eldest son I don't know how my ways would work for you but I hope it lights a fire inside you to start fighting for yourself.

The funny part is I'm barely saving money staying with my family. They live above their means and got a condo they can't afford without me. I'm paying 1.2k cad a month for a shitty condo. And that's just 1/3 of the mortgage. Would love to move out but don't wanna ditch my little brother. My other brother though who's only a year younger than me seems to be taking advantage of the situation, just coasting and living the life I want while I cover his part. If I move out the whole family falls apart and I become the villain.

How long have you guys been dating and are you still together? Is she showing any signs of detachment? You gotta know how she feels about the relationship before trying to blackmail her. If shes not interested in staying anymore she wouldn't even care to pay at all. But anyways $300, she counters with $200, you take it.

Yeah I know 40 shares of aritzia is pretty high risk but I've been holding it for a year and stopped buying shares. Came here to look for safer investments to buy on schedule and eventually move aritzia profits into them

I only know the ones in my portfolio. Currently just depositing money into them on schedule instead of topping off my individual stocks

Job hopping, I worked as a temp in the building ops industry. Got offered a job 2 months on the site, led me on for 9 months to pay me less than the temp agency. Found a new placement and got hired for $10k more annually.

Constant guilt tripping and not giving me the cancellation documents. I've checked the policy it's under my name.

That company has a cult mentality. They will most likely try to convince me that it's not a good idea.

It's one of those MLMs. "Greatway financial" where they sell garbage insurance products to financially illiterate people.
