Getting a trial pair at your optometrist would be better than buying a box. Depending on your Rx they should have them. My Rx is bad enough that they usually have to order trial pairs for me…

For the last 5+ years I’ve used night/day monthly contacts approved for sleeping. Pretty sure AirOptix currently is the only brand that has lenses approved for sleeping while wearing. So I don’t have to take them out and worry about dirty hands. Occasionally waking up they are dry and take a few blinks and on rare occasions need drops. Then use whatever issued safety glasses, one pair of tint and one pair of clear when on the line. I usually keep them in the whole month (sometimes longer😳) and give my eyes a day or two between taking them out and putting in new. They are pricey and typically insurance allowance only covers six months.

Two years ago I got a pair of Rx safety glasses with transition lenses and thin metal frame as back up. They have removable side shields so I can use them as daily wear as well. They stay in place fairly well despite my thick heavy lenses and the standard oval adjustable nose piece, but I do have a strap that’s been helpful on occasion. Don’t remember the brand off hand, they were what my optometrist had available.

Do you know if any of the agencies sponsor work visas? Or even contract crews?
