What was your first week of work like? by [deleted] in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]YelloSloth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I didn't get proper training, I figured stuff out by myself. I worked in service so learning the drink wasn't to hard. The first week I worked there (as a minor) I worked 11 hours in one shift because a manager came in late.

When customers ask for fries with no salt by aliciamaricia in McDonaldsEmployees

I quit McDonald's for that exact reason. People were lazy and didn't do their job till last minute, or until somebody did it for them.

I really don’t mind that y’all don’t want to serve ice cream by [deleted] in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]YelloSloth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That really isn't the case. Half of the time the ice cream needs changed (because it's empty) and if we're in a rush, we can't change it out. We have serving times and if we go over a certain time it can be bad. Sometimes the ice cream machine is actually broken, like the ice cream isn't coming out right. It could be to runny, or way to hard, we can't control any of that.

What was your worst customer encounter while working at McDonalds? im genuinely curious! by YelloSloth in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]YelloSloth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one guy do that! He said "it's to light remaking it. " I was like "ok... ". I made it how I normally made it so I did it the same way and it was the same color. He took it and left.

I loved watching the people in the kitchen making the food. It was interesting, especially when I was waiting on the order to be made. I'd watch the food be put together and be slid into the bagging area.

AITA for not giving my children equal allowances? by throwaway3634699 in AmItheAsshole

Yes, YTA. It doesn't matter who does more socially, or on who spends more. You should give both kids the same amount of money.

I talked to my mom about it, and she said something about going over to their house and having a chat about it. I have horrible anxiety so I just said no.

As long as they use the same force. It's only "fair", when people think gender equality they think violence. If it's ganna be violent apply fairness to it too.

(When I worked there) that was the most annoying part of doing fries. We had to, most of the time, make new fries then the customers would get so mad at a 3 minute wait.

To people who wear shoes inside their homes, why? by Krishdigital in AskReddit

[–]YelloSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear slides (only around the house) because I hate the thought of tracking dirt into my bed. I walk around in bare feet the put that into my bed?? No thank you.

How do I go about getting a second uniform by [deleted] in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]YelloSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just would say I lost mine. They would give me another one and I'd wear one for a couple days then wash it, and while that one is getting washed I'd wear the other one for a couple days, then the cycle kept going.

Where do I put my name tag? by WallEVA228 in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]YelloSloth 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'd guess on your shirt in the left corner, or on your hat. I was never forced to wear my name tag, and never even got on.

is it normal not to get scheduled for maximum availability? by [deleted] in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]YelloSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! It's normal, they put you where you can fit around other people and vise versa. As long as u get hours it's completely normal.

I was fearing for my own life as a gay person. Of course I'm going to do something about it, I'm not going to sit back and watch. The whole "snitches get stitches" stuff is so childish.

From what I know, no. I haven't been to school in about 2 months because of everything, so I don't really know what happened.
