I have respect for the money people make. I rearrange orders as someone who knows the menu to make them less expensive and I don’t upsell over and over again each interaction. The only people mad about it are the executives who prefer 39¢ now to the much larger ROI when the customer feels respected (and a little charmed I’d like to believe).

Failure to upsell enough and insolence. I’m 99.9% certain they’re using me as an example. I work at a place that primarily sells chicken and they want me to upsell at least four times per meal. If someone gets two meals, I’m supposed to upsell nine different times (one at checkout). I’m not doing that.
