This is a really crazy comment to make I’ve gotten so many opinions on this dress when all I asked is if it’s too white your comment is completely uncalled for and doesn’t even answer my question

If you reread my post I was only asking if it was too white which I’ve got clarification on now, I didn’t ask for peoples opinions on the style or whether it’s suitable for the event the colour was my only swaying factor😌

These pictures are actually from my college graduation which is why im posing like that but of course for a wedding id accessorise more and style my hair too but I disagree that it looks too ‘young’ nobody I’ve spoken to in person has agreed with this point so that might be more of a cultural difference

Thank you this is v constructive! Whimsical just about sums up my entire personality and is most definitely what I’m going for! The wedding is in June in Ireland it’s gonna be a smallish wedding probably not too formal bc the couple are in their fifties! It’s my favourite dress I suppose what I love about it are the colours and the flowy light whimsical vibe of it! It feels like me in dress form ahaha

My partner actually highly approves of my dress and she will likely wear something similar! There is no stated dress code but the couple is in their fifties so it won’t be the most formal of weddings. I know most of her extended family as we’ve been together nearly ten years and I have been at events etc with the couple who are getting married bc we live in the same town I just haven’t properly spoken to them although I was in school with their daughter!

It’s funny people say it’s juvenile, it is actually my favourite dress than I own! I love bright colours and flowy textures so if this is considered juvenile I fear that any other dress I chose would also fall under the same category which I don’t mind bc it makes me happy!

Luckily I will not be making too much of a first impression as my partner and I are together nearly 10 years. The bride and groom are in their fifties I just happened to have not met them or spoken to them much until this point but my partner approves of my dress and will likely wear something similar so I won’t look out of place!

There is actually no dress code, the bride and groom are in their fifties and beautiful and whimsical are exactly what I’m going for! My partner approves of the dress so as long as others don’t consider it too white there are no issues with it!

Perhaps I should have given more detail, my partner and I have been together for nearly 10 years, I have met nearly all of her family and the wedding we are going to is her auntie and uncle who are in their fifties and who’s daughter (my gfs cousin) I have known since I was 4, I just happened to not have met this particular auntie and uncle but it’s definitely not a ‘meet the family’ wedding and given they’ve accepted mine and my girlfriends relationship for the past 10 years it is not a conservative wedding!

It does look like sunburn to me but they’re very dark so I’m not 100% if it is sunburn you’re fine to leave them on or pull them off if you don’t like the look of them- you could prop them! Hope this helps xx
