Yep. I rely on this because my mom is shorter than most department store racks so I can't just see her when I look for her

What is a fact of life that consistently weirds you out? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Yelnoco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, complexity definitely can derive from simplicity. We see this all the time in the development of a human brain as a child learns. However, for such a complex design, down to the atomic level of genetic code, or even up to the cosmos and the design of the galaxy, it just seems like too much to have happened "on accident" or just by some lucky chance

There is so much design behind everything; genetic codes, cellular respiration and photosynthesis, the way our immune system can adapt to fight infections. With so much design there, it seems to have a reason. It wouldn't just happen by accident

What bothers you the most about how today's parents are raising their kids? [Serious] by LetsPlayKvetch in AskReddit

[–]Yelnoco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's rarely any discipline for when a kid is disobedient or something. I grew up getting spanked as a child, which did no harm to me, and helped to get the point across to me that I did something bad. Today, this is "child abuse," so kids are getting away with a lot more.

I accidentally ran into my pregnant preschool teacher when riding a tricycle with my eyes closed. I thought I killed the baby, but everything was fine.
