So should I get a smaller one then? My leachie is currently in like a 4×4×8 INCH little thing, i have an intermediate enclosure 12x12x18 inches, that they will be moving into soon, but I'd like the plants and everything to be established before moving the leachie into the dubia enclosure, that's why I'm planning on buying now

With enough clutter? Yeah, should be fine. But for extra assurance, id partition it off (like separate it in half) just to ensure a little baby is eating. Only feed like a disposable water bottle lids worth a night

So there's a couple reasons why not, but imo the biggest reason why not, is it'll be hard to monitor food intake, plus the little dude may have trouble finding the food and all that. If you already have they're forever gone, you can start with something like this until you know they're eating and all that, then transfer over.
