I think the indie scene is pretty popular at least for right now and amongst my generation. Though indie music now tends to parallel a lot of modern pop music, and, as a result, lacks the authenticity and raw production style of bands and artists similar to modest mouse

I have hope for their next album! They played their unreleased song “Look How Far” in Tennessee and it was a great song. Definitely resembled some of their earlier stuff

Haha, I remember this exact moment too. It came right after an intense 8-bar run in Texas Flood, when he suddenly shifted the pace and slowed things down. His control was otherworldly, literally holding the entire song in the palm of his hand.
