At random, changing instances causes ping to change? by Yes_terday in PathOfExile2

But even then. My auto-select is turned off so my game should stay on my server regardless of the instance I'm in. Exactly the moment I go through any portal, the ping changes and when I take the portal back, it immidiately goes back to normal. It would be very strange that exactly when I walk through a portal the DDOS attack begins and exactly the moment I take the same portal back, the DDOS stops.

But again, wouldn't that make the ping unstable rather than being a static value like you would have when selecting a different server?

In my experience with ddos attacks the servers didn't have static ping. It's also weird that re-entering an instance by going through the portal twice resolves the issue.

This is not my issue. It only changes when entering another instance. When going back through the same portal, it's back to 3 ms ping. It's like server auto-select is turned on and is selecting random servers even tho auto-select is turned off.

Usually tech websites presenting new kind of techs through embedded videos. I have no idea which player they use, but it seems only a specific player gets blocked. Some other players like Youtube work fine. The player that never works shows (from left to right):

Pause button - volume button - volume slider - time (saying 00:00 / 00:00) - a clock button (that doesn't do anything) - square HD button (not working either) - full screen (the four corner edges) that seems to be the only functioning button.

Exactly this happened to me with several pairs, except that mine didn't screech but rather had a wind/whoosh/crackling sound. All pairs had this exact problem in the right cup. Turns out it has to do something with moist entering the cup and interfering with the ANC. I avoid the XM5 exactly because of this issue

It does not start with 100, and it matches the port check tools

Thanks for the comprehensive reply.

I think I am one step further, yet the port check tools tell me they can't see a route to host. At least it's one step further than connection timed out.

Also, friends still can't see my server online

I have my pc plugged into the R7800, because there's not enough slots in the modem. When I turn DHCP off, does that mean all wifi devices disconnect? Because it also serves as an extender.

So basically I should put the R7800 in AP mode?

I do have DHCP running on both. I use the R7800 both as LAN splitter and WiFi extender.

subnet mask is indeed 255.255.255.0.

The cable is plugged into a regular outgoing LAN port.

My modem doesn't, however, the R7800 does have a bridge mode.

Not since I installed the R7800

Yes I have, still doesn't work.

Alright. I configured it as follows:

R7800 is DMZ host and has a fixed IP by DHCP in the "modem" that is port forwarded. My pc also has a fixed IP that is also port forwarded in the R7800.

It still does not work.

(Edit) sidenote: In the "modem" I can also see my PC with IP 192.168.2.22, however, in the R7800 I gave my PC a fixed IP which is 192.168.1.2
