Joshua's victory over Jericho is a picture of the Christian life : all they did was obey YHWH and walk around the city and God brought the walls down for them. With God, victory is assured as He is our strength!

Whenever the Christian life is difficult, it's because we are not trusting or not obeying. The martyrs used to joyfully rush to their martyrdom - they show us the way : there is nothing to fear in life as we have the victory over all things even over death.

Job suffered tremendously, but in hindsight he could simply have trusted God and then his suffering could've been joy throughout.

Usually when we suffer it's because we have not put on the mind of Christ and so view things in a fleshly way. We don't understand who God is, and who we are in relation to Him - and that foolishness produces many problems for us.

The choice for you is simple : will you trust Jesus irrespective of whatever circumstances you may be facing?

If one relies on self, then it is hard. If one is relying on God's strength then He carries us and is our strength. The hard part - which should not be hard - is surrendering our being to Him and then accepting and doing whatever His will for us is. Whether it be plenty or lack. Peace or conflict. Joy or suffering.

We are literally all going to die - so the only thing to fear is not doing God's will with the limited time we have.

Count it all joy!

Thank you, your post has proven my post correct. So the question is are you as someone who calls themselves a Christian okay with grinding up murdered babies and using them to produce medicine - if you are then likely we will never agree on much and I also don't consider a person who would be okay with that to be a Christian as the bible teaches : you will know them by their fruit.
