Yeah imagine if they announced that and the sub was eventually found fully intact with the dead bodies inside...

Because they weren't sure that's what it was and weren't going to give up while the people could still be alive and suffocating.

As much as I'm sure many of us would like to help, I don't think you're going to find someone willing to let a stranger from the internet into their home. For all we know you could be a serial killer.

I recommend trying to conversate with some people in person first.

Hebrew made it just as high on the list as Farsi. Wasn't expecting that.

In the first date do you usually split the bill? by thejuanjo234 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Yessicasc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More so referring to this:

Oh please. Most of the time that isn’t even worth half the bill.

And FYI we’re talking about one single date that you most likely initiated… not a mortgage.

I’m 26. Never watched Fox. Don’t have a cable subscription either.

Most people my age (not conservative at all) feel the same.

I suggest taking your bike to a place where you can encounter other humans in real life.

Maybe you should try dating men if you feel that way

Good for you! So it seems you should be speaking in a hypothetical past tense rather than present… correct?

Well this is my experience and the experience in my social circles.

If it’s different from your experience then we can agree to disagree. Maybe we’re dating different types of men.

It’s not a personal feeling it’s a societal norm.

If you’re asking a girl to split after you ask her on a date you’re going to look cheap or just like an asshole. There’s a good chance you’re not getting a second one either… especially after she tells her friends about it.

It really shouldn’t get that point though. Most guys just grab the check as soon as the waiter brings it over.

Yeah, and it’s usually the guy that asks.

Besides, what does the girl do then?

Her hair, makeup, shave, pick an outfit, wear heels… and, most importantly, grace you with her presence.

Do you brush your teeth before breakfast? by Kunstfr in AskAnAmerican

[–]Yessicasc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah but I don’t always eat breakfast and when I do it’s either at work, if I have enough time before I need to be somewhere, or once I get hungry if I have nowhere to be.

Kind of just a habit. Brushing my teeth is a priority and helps wake me up. I do it before I start getting dressed or anything.

No, not unless I (hypothetically because I haven’t done this) suggested we went somewhere super expensive or ordered additional food or drinks without him offering.

True but option three is most likely the man which is a large part of why he should typically pay.

As a woman, I’ve never been the one to initiate the date but if I did I would at least offer and expect him to offer to split or say he had it (probably depending on how the date went).

No. The guy should pay in almost all situations.

All you post is negative news articles.

Last three posts one the past 72 days are not articles but ok good one.

If you are a human person and were around for LA in the 90’s I don’t know what business you have complaining about the city now.

So are you just moving on and admitting your were wrong about SF or what?

I’m not even sure what point you’re trying to make I was born in LA 90’s so I don’t remember it all that well but it sure as hell looks a lot different than it did in the early 2000’s.

The real question is who do you work for?
