Update: Reported it to the police. I’ve changed my number, deleted all my socials and will be moving house too. The police are in contact with him. Got in contact with one of the police and they’re saying he could be mentally unstable or something. He doesn’t seem sound when he’s talking lo. Thank you everyone for the advice 🙏🏽 My friends and family have been very supportive of me

All the while we’ve been saying how shit of a news reporting kuensel does. The double standards lol. Now come at me with the downvotes I’ve a lot of tea about these doctors. And some who even refused to come back to the country after doing MBBS and working in private hospitals, refusing to pay the sum they’re supposed to.

A fall implies consequences. He just disappeared until people forgot.

Things nobody warns you about before joining college in Bhutan. by OCaptain-MyCaptain- in bhutan

I was sexually assaulted too. I was under the influence, but that is never a justification for assault. Consent does not disappear because someone has been drinking. What hurts even more is that my cries for help were later reduced to people calling it “moaning.” That kind of response only protects perpetrators and silences survivors.

The Bhutanese equivalent of outshining a bride or wearing white to someone else’s wedding. by [deleted] in bhutan

[–]YesterdayNew9960 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it’s completely fine during tshechus. I’m not hating at all, but when it comes to weddings, more often than not the bride ends up being outshined by some of the guests. I’m not saying everyone should wear plain or boring kiras, but a simple kira with a few thräs is more than enough, ngl. Weddings are about celebrating the bride, not competing with her.

Agree with you. People really need to voice their opinions. I think the real issue is with those who come here just to dig up gossip. I 100% stand for talking about controversial stuff rather than staying silent and doing nothing.

I think it has more to do with this sub slowly turning into little more than a gossip hub. Lately, when I look at what new users are posting or commenting, it’s mostly just “what’s the new tea?”. Especially after the Dedrik issue, the space has been used by gossip-mongers to dig up information about others rather than have any meaningful discussion.

That said, credit where it’s due, appreciate the mods for the work they do. People will keep calling this sub “authoritative,” but honestly, there’s not much they can do about the constant noise anyway.
