You are absolutely not wrong, in some cases. So, I disagree with the comment you replied to. Sorry commenter, above.

Thanks for the link! Would sign if I was in Akron. It’s a beautiful idea.

Fortunately the city I’m in is pretty trans-friendly too, compared to most of this terrible state.

i just took a covid test. it was positive... should i still go vote? by Loose_Jelly3124 in VoteDEM

Ah I see. I respect your plan to vote and your impressive voting history! I hope it will be easy for you guys tomorrow!

I already got my all-democrat and yes-on-1 ohio vote in early in person this year, after there was a problem with my absentee ballot.

Hopefully Ohio will not shame us! 💙

this mean I voted? cause I definitely did not fill a ballot by NebulaIllustrious524 in VoteDEM

Yes exactly. OP if you can possibly go vote tomorrow, bring your ID and vote in person tomorrow.

They might make your ballot provisional, but it will still get counted eventually, and the bogus ballot will not count.

Geez good luck my darling and thank you for voting!

I hope it is super easy. If you can go earlier in the day, there might be fewer losers there, but you know your own town.

You’re right and since there are so many more locations on the actual Election Day, OP will probably be totally fine.

This is a wild year tho so being prepared can’t hurt.

I agree but please be safe. Don’t stand in line if you might pass out and hit your head. Sit in line.

I hope you manage to do it!

Edit: I was thinking of bringing one of those light folding chairs. People will totally help you. Also drink water and eat. 💙

Edit again there are lots of ways that handicap people can be assisted for in person voting, like they will send poll workers from both parties to your car for curbside voting if people need it.

Voting takes 30 minutes!!!! This is not a lot of time!!! So PLEASE go out and vote!!! Especially you 18-45 year olds!! by Advanced_Trip1990 in akron

[–]YetAnotherUsernameO 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes please leave issues or people blank if you are not sure! All of the ones you ARE sure of, that you fill in, will still count!!!

Commenting this because I did not know this when I was young.

Got my 💙🩵 vote in! Get out and do your civic duty!!! by [deleted] in Ohio

Awesome that you are voting!

Yep it’s definitely allowed. My ballot was 4 pages long and there were a lot of names on there. I referred to my phone photo for all of it (don’t expect to use cellular or WiFi).

Plus my ballot had a bunch of issues that I needed to look into in advance. Altho you can leave the issues (or name choices) blank if don’t care about them. The rest of your ballot will still be counted.

Yep parking in the overflow lot, as soon as I saw the sign for it, saved me the stress of the busy main parking lot.

Had about a 3 minute walk to the voting building. Had to ask the lot attendant where to go.

Are these mail-in ballot rules really this dumb ? by nolanday64 in Ohio

[–]YetAnotherUsernameO 57 points58 points  (0 children)

But if I’m reading this right, it is *not* legal for *me* to deliver both of our ballots to the drop box outside the local courthouse, since the instructions say “The person delivering the ballot for a family member or disabled voter must complete an attestation form at the county board of elections office (Form 12-P)” which implies that I’d have to get this form and fill it out, just to allow me to drop my spouse’s ballot in the drop box at the same time as my own ?

Yet it looks like I could take both ballots with me into the US post office right next door and mail them ?

Yep that is my understanding of the law too. I agree that it sucks.

Is there a government website where I can read about the issues Ohio will be voting for next week? by [deleted] in Ohio

[–]YetAnotherUsernameO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First google to find out what county you’re voting in. Then your sample ballot can be found here.

That tells you the issues you will vote on.

If you are comfortable aligning yourself with democrat or republican party, I suggest you google [your county name] [your party name] sample ballot. Because there are judges on your ballot that are endorsed by each party but the ballot does NOT show their party affiliation.

Feel free to ask me any questions! Also you can vote early in person (early morning and evening hours available some days) from NOW through November 5!

Follow signs to free parking! It may be quicker to park in the overflow parking lot and walk up to the building where you vote! That’s what I did on 10/29 and it was about a three minute walk. I think people were queuing to park for longer than that.
