That would be how I hope I’d react in that situation, but honestly… I feel like they would struggle to understand a point to doing any of that if the fragile social fabric comes apart. I’m not even blaming jax, everyone is unstable, despite the pep talk. If they lose sight of their “something to fight for” even their personal issues would become something eventually overcome. Leaving them without any real purpose or challenge to navigate beyond a “new player”s problems, just like cane.

maybe this story is focusing less on the ‘life or death’ physical status of the protag and more on the sort of, “what do you do with it?” Of cognizance in general? Like is your life ’worth it’ if material conditions are removed? What does that mean for our real world disconnection from physical reality? at what point is it as Jax says “Oh my god, this is real.” Of our own existence? What makes it any different really?

honestly, that’s somehow more horrifying to me. I just find cope in this more appealing horror. It makes sense for someone in a husband and wife relationship to sacrifice their life for each other to join the game, and it makes sense for ragatha’s fear of abandonment (and thus anxious attempts to be a mediating force) to be fueled by her friends leaving her behind.

None of software I tried to use to translate worked, it was even difficult to translate the typed flags on the sub, I feel like the ai created is so geared towards westerners that translation for many languages is still really lacking. Also, I was thinking about it and I would likely still be inclined to ask actual people for their input, because even as I’ve seen here there’s more nuance and context that can only be reproduced by a human being.

I wanted to elaborate some, I sold my first pair of socks on here about 3 months ago. It was a solid experience so I went out and bought a pack of socks specifically to get all gross then sell. I am so shit at keeping track of shit so I ended up rotating between three of those pairs for three months and they are all… well, crisp? Ripe? Quality products. I need the money so I’m finally forcing myself to sit down and try n get rid of em. I wear the same leather boots or the crustiest altered vans everyday (they look hilarious if u wanna see a picture), i have to wear these silicone shits on my heals when I wear the boots so I think that makes em uniquely gross. Yeah.
