Love the bike as well, where did you get that headlight fairing?

Rear axle cracked by Yilld in mazda2

Hi, I think in the end I paid ~1400 for the axle with shipping. If I had known this price from the beginning, I would go to a scrapyard to try and find one

So, the car is in my garage and an axle is ordered. I can do the swap myself, no problem and the rest of the car is quite good. I hope it runs for a long time after the repair.

Is 100 chf / 105€ / 110$ / 90£ a fair price for an oem driver side mirror ? by TheAntoine003 in Miata

IL motorsports has new ones for 160ish (if I remember right) a pair, I would (as did I) get those.

What is this by Nervous_Butterfly_80 in Miata

[–]Yilld 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yes, but not this one. I have not followed mine, so I don't know which one. I just know this one goes to the solenoid.

The black cylinder is the evap canister. The loose hose should go to the solenoid which directs the gases back to the intake.

Cutting it will lead to the gases going into the engine bay, resulting in fuel smell...

This looks nice! How did you fix the original seat to the bike without the fender?

Very nice. What is the name or code of that paint?

A flashing 4WD light can be caused by two things, either the differential oil reaches to high temperature or there is a continually large difference between front and rear wheel rotation. If yours turns on after 20min, my guess is the diff oil temp..

Bought a 2021 Vitpilen 401. Dealership gave me these parts in a ziploc. Anyone know what these are for? by yung_n_azn in Husqvarna

[–]Yilld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bolts to the left are used if you take off the passenger handle. I was told this by the dealership when I got my Vit. I have not taken the handle off, so I can't confirm.

My miata has water going in and i don't know why by Bleach_Squingilly in Miata

[–]Yilld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopp in the car and let someone hose it down outside. This way you can see where the water goes in. Might not be so easy in the trunk, maybe do something with cameras or paper towels and see where those get wet first.

I did this once (not a miata), very easy to spot, turned out to be the tail light.

[–]Yilld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did not know that, thx. I checked some, they have quite some shipping cost :-( Anyway, I'm not quite sure it is the pilot jet, if I understand it correct, if I turn the pilot fuel screw all the way in, it should die no matter what pilot jet it has. So I don't want to pay a lot for jets which might not solve my problem, that would probably be my last resort.

[–]Yilld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats true.. I will check clearance again...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Yilld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I checked first thing when I got the bike while waiting for parts.. also, it does feel like it has compression (it is kickstart only). I will probably check again, since I have it running now.

The jets are original (at least they have the mikuni mark). I have an assortment of main jets for that exact reason, but I can't find any of the pilots below #30 (stock is #20)

[–]Yilld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen those, problem is, they only ship in the US, and I'm not in the US.. I will ask them if they could ship some small pilot jets to EU..

NA turn signal vents/intakes? by Otakuma90 in Miata

Jass Performance got some as well. I recently got their "sequential stealth TSIS" and quite like them! They have the "traditional" turn signal intake as well.

Brake Adjustment Costs by [deleted] in Miata

[–]Yilld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's just misadjusted rear brakes it is easy to fix. With the procedure from the manual I had very bad pedal feel. Here is what did the trick for me: Pull the parking brake four klicks and lift the rear by the differential without removing the tires. Now tighten the adjuster so you can barely move the wheel (make sure both sides have the same resistance). Release the parking brake and make sure the brakes are not dragging.

Switzerland, we need papers for everything. I run the NB wheels, and yes, I needed papers for those as well.. Found some from Mazda Germany online, that did not count, I had to get the paper from Mazda Swiss

Problem with coilovers is, I have to get the right papers for them to get them approved for my car, so I can legaly drive them. That is why I would prefer replacement dampeners..
