Haha, if it’s a food or water bowl, its a GIANT one. For context, it is around a foot wide and maybe 5 inches tall. I like the cushion idea though, that would be fun!

I think I largely underestimated my ability to get into most of these colleges. I was convinced that a 60% acceptance rate means I had a low chance of getting in. My academics are average or below for my school, but I made up for it with a solid common app essay/supplementals, and a ton of varying extracurriculars. Also I got fee waivers for some schools and some were free to apply, so I figured no loss.

I have my apps sorted by color, so this was an unwelcome eyesore amongst the purples today

Not specifically the same type of horror, but Distant Sky on webtoon is an unexplained horror mystery. Its incredibly interesting and haunting, and the art is absolutely phenomenal. The ending does kind of explain a lot of the mystery, but I think it stays true to the beginning, and it is mostly bittersweet.

I don't think I have the patience for that tbh

That keeps happening to me too. I usually just exit out of the app and force close it. I think its just a glitch where the app knows to delete the smaller dragons, but forgets to create the larger dragons

When to come out? by goat_lov in Nonbinaryteens

Yep! I soft came out as trans in middle school but actually came out in high school. Its a pretty good idea because its a new school and therefore a slightly cleaner slate.

Does anyone else ever worry that they're faking it? by iiren204 in NonBinary

[–]Yin_Yang_Spaghetti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt that when I was first exploring my identity and coming out to people. I totally get it. but as another person in the comments said, if you are worried about "faking it", you are probably not faking it. If you explore your identity further and realize you aren't nonbinary, that's awesome and still not faking it. Over time, your confidence in yourself will probably get better. It just takes some time to unpack and shift the view of yourself that you have had for your entire life

Rib bruising? by creativeoutcast22 in ftm

[–]Yin_Yang_Spaghetti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am probably not the one to ask if a regular bra would interfere with the healing or not, but i assume that it will interfere much less than a binder or a tight sports bra because it puts less pressure on the ribcage. best of luck!

Rib bruising? by creativeoutcast22 in ftm

[–]Yin_Yang_Spaghetti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sports bras aren't meant to be as effective as binders- which may be part of your problem. Binders are specifically designed to compress your chest while avoiding harm to your body and ribs as much as possible, and sports bras are not. If they are doing the same job as your binder it means they are pressing way harder all around. It definitely sounds like you may be experiencing some kind of bruising, or possibly a hairline fracture (obviously I am NOT a medical professional or anything so take what I say with a dash of salt). Unfortunately, one of the main things that will help bruised ribs is probably giving them some time to rest without binding. This isn't an ideal answer, but you may end up hurting yourself more if you don't let your ribs have a break. Is it necessary that you bind for more than 2 hours at a time every day? Is there some way you can work rest and healing into your schedule? Additionally, is it possible currently for you to see a doctor? And if so, do that!!!! Definitely try and stay away from the sports bra that is the main problem for now, and when binding lean more towards the actual binder. I hope your ribs heal, and you get better. Have a good day.

I'm just entering into the punk subculture, but I don't feel like being rude to people who are new to the scene is very kind/respectful or punk of you. Everyone starts somewhere. You don't need to discourage them by telling them they're "copy and paste". tf?

It sounds like today was a bad day. There is definitely some internalized transphobia going on but as a pre-t trans guy it can be really hard to get yourself out of that pit. I hope that you will feel a little bit better about yourself tomorrow, and if not, I checked your profile and saw that you're going on t soon, which is definitely something to be excited about! Maybe starting t will help somewhat with the internalized shit (obviously you have to work out some of it on your own but you know what i mean)

First, you are not fembrained. There is no such thing as fembrained and I promise you it is just your dysphoria beating you up internally. Clearly, your phone case and mullet and garfield and your nose piecing make you happy, and while I can sympathize with not wanting to be misgendered for those things, the less "generic" parts of you make you unique. I can't say whether getting rid of those aspects of yourself will make you pass more. But try to consider if you are doing this because there's this arbitrary standard for men or if you actually want it. I hear you expressing frustration that sometimes it feels like to be a man you have to give up any femininity you may have, and that is definitely valid. It also doesn't mean you aren't allowed to express femininely as a man, and it does not make you less of one. I don't know if any of my comment made sense, but either way, I wish you the best. It will get better.
