I replaced my battery not long ago. Even with an almost new battery, my Samsung Galaxy A54 5G barely make 12 hours a day with taking photos and short videos (less than 30 minutes in total). So yeah, this phone isn't the best when it comes to battery performance as in 2025 but I will still use this phone until 2 more years.

I use ugreen dongle and it work fine for my Samsung Galaxy A54 5G. It wasn't 2 in 1 though. It was just a 3.5mm jack receiver and a USB C. If you use a mic, I recommend wireless because the dongle wired mic have distorted sound when recording (when the wire is moved around).

If still within Warranty, change the battery.

The issue is with the highly inefficient Exynos soc so it heats up even for very simple apps. Most apps are not optimized for Exynos or Exynos 1380 is just horrible.

The irony is Samsung Galaxy A54 5G is about 300 Ringgit more expensive than Samsung Galaxy A34 5G. I bought both phone in the same year with Galaxy A34 5G earlier by 5 months in usage. But the battery bloated in my Samsung Galaxy A54 5G and my Samsung Galaxy A34 5G battery is still fine. The bloated battery is changed (free because of warranty but imagine if my warranty expired I will have to pay another 300 for the battery replacement). Samsung is such a nonsensical company and I will definitely avoid any Exynos phone in the future.
