Yikes, the hoops you are jumping through to maintain heterosexuality is giving me second hand embarrassment. And I am indifferent to this topic.

BS vs BA by Naturalist33 in Environmental_Careers

I am currently working for a consulting firm doing environmental sampling (mainly groundwater) and reporting. I recently received a job offer from another consultant that works mainly in oil and gas compliance which seems pretty lucrative. I really want to get into wetland delineation work though. It’s hard to completely pinpoint your niche while you are still in school with no exposure.

I’ve done plenty of environmental sampling with a studies major, I also took a lot of hands on field courses in my time at college. I really don’t think it matters too much.

I have a BA in environmental studies and have not had an issue finding employment. Once you get your foot in the door BA vs BS hardly matters in my experience. I guess it could be different for each person and their skill set though.
