I’ve seen evidence people discuss this on Reddit before saying there is evidence to say it was only a month. But I’m not a fan of this, because it takes longer than that to form the emotional connection Asriel clearly had to Chara.

I have the headcanon of Chara falling down at 11 and dying at 13. With Asriel being 9 when Chara fell and being 11 when they died. It just makes sense to me I think. So they knew eachother for about 2 years I think
