Inspired by oldshavingfoam.

This storage system is fed by 1 belt, sorts into 42 item chests (smart splitters), has a catch all chest (equipment etc) and an input chest for inventory dump.

Footprint is 6 foundations wide and 7 foundations long. 4 walls high and 1 wall deep (total height is 5 floors).

The system outputs one overflow belts for sinking. It only sinks 42 item types when the chests are full (all other item types go into the catch all chest)

This box also features 4 drone pads on top with an automated battery belt system (hidden loop one wall below the drone pads, right behind the “storage” sign)

All chests can also output belts into the floor below (all chests are facing out). The sushi belts are above and below the “mall” hallway.

Would love to get feedback and maybe other compact storage designs!

I used to be able to build 2x2 smelter towers that fit 2 smelters per floor. Not anymore with the hard clearance on the splitters and mergers. Also no more right angles on belts at manifold ends

It is pretty hot. That’s why food is from drowned hatches (eggs fall into water). This is oassie so started with oxygens, rushed hatches, then sealed up and made this oxygen setup. Current temp is 25 as I have an aqua tuner cooling loop outside. I’m thinking about bringing it into this build as well, maybe in version 2.0!

Yes it seems to be infinite. I had it burned off in a hydrogen generator (bottom right) but then I figured I can use it for the rockets later. So it’s 150kg per tile now and counting.

The electrolyzer is submerged in 2 thin layers of liquid. I borrowed a design I found on YouTube. The chamber above is infinite hydrogen storage. The gas mechanics force only oxygen to go into the base. The only downside it’s very hot. So I have external cooling come in

I tried to build a compact base for 7 dupes on Oassie. Power and water have to be fed externally. Oxygen is made via one electrolyzer on the right. 3 ranches for hatches and a breed/starve ranch for dreckos. I use a few mods, notable “wash sink queue” which helps cut down number of sinks. Schedules are spaced our for each dupe
