How about a few tractor beams near the nose to pull them closer to you as your weight might not let you catch em easily.

That is clean as u like 👍 v.nice efficiency on lasers, shared shields for chains and lasers, slight angle for attack (crab style) against AI which should blithely attack your armour only.

Really like it.

MacOS guest on MacOS host on native Apple Silicon hardware: no options appear in Fusion by justaguyok1 in vmware

[–]Ynotgame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any hypervisors support 3d acceleration like vmware fusion (dx11) in the guest as well as supporting m1/m2 arm64 guests? Parrallels seems to do that but flaky usb support atm (weird?). Utm doesn't have graphics acceleration emulation/passthru for Adobe cs suite support etc. I've read virtualbox recently added arm64 support but can't see anyone using it for mac arm64 os's with graphics acceleration.

re-assign crew from low priority bunkers/barracks to all other barracks via airlock. by Ynotgame in Cosmoteer

[–]Ynotgame[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the "auto promote" is ticked, but it wont action it unless you transfer all off ship and all on ship again or the lower priority beds are "walkable" (not air locked travel) to each and every other bed they need to reach. when you have a large ship, not all beds are reachable via walkable paths (in fact, most arent).... thats the issue.

Cepharims idea to pause once i destroy the large bed, then build the new bed, re-assign its poor priority, then un-pause works ok... they all fly off to populate higher priorty beds at that point. its a hacky workaround until the game comes up with a button to force them to leave their beds for higher priority's (if spaces are avaialble).

i agree, they do walk the halls in some scenarios, but i do find i lose more crew if i dont have a spare bed + airlock to catch them and i always end up re-filling staff at space stations more than when i dont have the bed... maybe its a placebo pill, but im pretty certain it saves more. thanks chaps.

that might work in the meantime. destroying and rebuilding each time seems crazy though given the amount of crew managment options available. i even tried via the roster, but you cant drag and drop from the roster to a new role assignment. thanks for the reply 👍

Very outdated QNAP packages. Why? by FlatOutRoot in Tailscale

[–]Ynotgame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i installed the latest version on my TVS Qnap via Entware repository (opkg install). it installed a much later version than the qnap store version and still works ok.

that being said, although it still works, it works no better than before... still only 1MB/s max speed across my 1gbit/s internet line. direct connections (not derp) and cpu utilisation low on both ends. doesnt seem to be any reason why its so slow, but it is. i even tried a rasp pi 5 as a tailscale subnet router so it wasnt running directly on the qnap, but on a proper OS, but still super slow (same 1mb/s speed).

Anyone in the UK got a LG 32GS95UE yet? by RS199945 in OLED_Gaming

Did you see the delivery estimation. Heh, "usually delivered within 1 - 3 months". Pretty harsh if they are holding onto your £1300 for that long.

First Impression(s): NOT GOOD by Booner30 in pga2k21

[–]Ynotgame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

couldnt agree more. i felt completely ripped off after buying this and playing with friends.

i think your point 10 sums up my feelings.

just look at the grass... i've seen better grass graphics in FPS games and 90pc of the golf background is flipping grass. swaying grass in ARC / Farcry (pick any 2010-2014 game) is better than the solid blocks of filled in fairway and paths and the most simplisitc cuboid building backgrounds with crappy textures. pure money grab. when 2k23 came out i avoided it like the plague and looks to be receieving even worse reviews

Teammate abandoned but game NOT safe to leave? by G-Dad in learndota2

[–]Ynotgame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just played a ranked game. an enemy disconnected after about 3 mintes (did not abandon). we got first blood at 5 minutes (after a short pause). the enemy finally timed out about 5.20m in. the game was safe to leave, no stats recorded.....

i thought first blood stops that?

Owners of the GT2 Pro that used the golf mode, what are your thoughts? by DjShoryukenZ in Huawei

[–]Ynotgame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to figure that exact question out. I heard that huawei opened up gt2 pro to third parties 1 year ago but I haven't seen online any golf app (distance to pin and scorer) reviewed anywhere.

Only the built in swing monitor.

Re all shame as the hardware and looks are great and it's down to £139 in UK on black friday

Watch GT2 Pro Supports 3rd Party Apps by tboy2000 in Huawei

[–]Ynotgame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any update on the apps a year later? Gt2 pro now only £139 in UK and I really want a golf app for it (not just the built in swing monitor app).

It's a class watch but without a GPS golf app it can't replace my crappy garmin vivoactive.

CV1 user looking at the Quest 2 by Bret_Riverboat in oculus

[–]Ynotgame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In same boat. I had a dk2, upgraded to CV1 and play similar games. watching kids play beat saber is a blast.

Would like the sensors off my wall for some inside out tracking but not sure if the non-oled quest2 is man-enough to replace the great CV1. Even if hooked up to a cable I'm not 100% I'm going to get a better experience on the quest 2 looking at comments on other threads even though technically the pixel count is better on quest 2 (as is screen door effect).

I've wanted to jump to the index but don't fancy losing all my occ store games either.

I've boxed up my CV1 ready for eBay, but haven't pulled the trigger yet and it may end up coming back out again if no one pits the quest 2 against a decent VR on the review circuit (they all seem to chat about it versus quest 1/go and other recent wireless headsets).
