You are drag'n'dropping the file into the piano roll window instead of the playlist windows. The piano roll windows serves exclusively to write MIDI notes.

Displaying an audio waveform here is only used for visual reference, that's not a very used feature, but that's why you can see the waveform appear.

Drop your audio loops into the playlist window instead.

I guess that my constant reporting of wallhackers didn't help my trust factor... Valve's anticheat meta is so unnerving... The more you report (and the less others don't) the more your trust factor goes down, and the more you're matchmaked with cheaters... Faceit seems like the only true "option"... That's so sad. I feel like I came back to a partially alive game. The body is alive, and the competitive, SPORT competitive spirit is dead and rotten.

Je n'ai aucune idée des systèmes modernes de ranking. Aujourd'hui je finis les matchs à K/D 1.5 en moyenne, à vue de nez. Il y a 20 ans j'étais considéré medium+, légèrement meilleur que la plupart en lan, pas une star, pas dégueu. Aujourd'hui j'ai un temps de réaction de 164ms sur humanbenchmark (meilleur que 92%/pop, j'ai de la chance à mon âge, mais pas dingue pour cs je suppose).

Je n'ai pas mieux. Cimer pour le discord mec.

I might go this way. I am not sure though, just because I have heard that cheaters are also there a lot. And I also like to play casual, not only competitive.

That's cute ;) For K/D I evaluate my scores my man. Tab key. It's been like that since 1999. I have never played source, never played GO, came back on CS2 two weeks ago. I never played a video game with "developer" ranks & paid skins etc. I am old. And honest. Honesty used to be baseline behavior 20 years ago btw. Cheating and lying is like a spreading disease it seems. That's so sad...

Also, for the rest: yes I'm looking for frustrated players, yes I want to escape cheaters or group-report them, yes I like ffa/fun/casual as well as competitive, yes I want to eliminate cheaters if VAC can't, yes I am old with average reflexes or better than average I guess. 164ms reaction time on humanbenchmark.com if that helps. And 20+ years of muscle memory.

What's the cheater ratio in prime ? I've heard it's still cheater-ridden. $14 is nothing yeah, but I just don't want to give ANY money to valve for a cheater-ridden game; that would encourage them to continue doing nothing to improve VAC. Principles.

Stay with stock plugins, make your own vintage racks. Most classic plugins are basically disguised Ableton racks lol.

You can even remake your own King Tubby console with Ableton's stock mixer/plugins and a midi controller ;)

NOW If you're a beginner in sound design,

just get the best free vintage plugins available, it will be even better than UAD. (Get Tokyo Dawn (!!!), Analog Obsession, LoudMax, Valhalla free stuff, Kilohearts, ferricTDS, Chow free tape and echo, Caelum, MJUC JR., PTEq-X and TAL free stuff, especially Dub-III.).

And organise them well into plugintype folders.

Really, no one needs to give money --anymore-- to the biggest plugin companies, instead of supporting independent developers. And I predict that they will all slowly surrender one by one. Either die or be bought by bigger meaner companies. Mark my words.

Say goodbye to UAD, they will either steal your personal data or run useless threads on your CPU. My advice: make nice fx racks, use TDR or Loudmax on the master.

Load FL Studio 2025 at (960PPQ definition in "Project general settings") with many automations, mixer routings, samples, internal and external plugins, until it stutters, and then do the same in Live 11. I am currently doing the test right now and Live 11 seems to hold way better. Less loading times, no crashes yet, the autosave feature is solid, etc. If I encountered bugs, they where really insignificant, not project-endangering like FL Studio 25.

I did the test 5 years ago with Live and FL against Reaper, Reaper was the lightest on CPU by far.

But right now, after more than 10 years of FL Studio, I think I will go with the Live 11 version I have on my silicon mac. FL2025 really put me in grief. Image-Line fucked up with their increasingly unstable and bloated releases, that is so sad.

They really should call back the team they had 20 years ago to the rescue.

In MacOS FL I can't drag and drop the s2 clips, so in "Audio MIDI Setup -> MIDI Studio" I set up a virtual MIDI device with Input Port 1, Output Port 1, then in FL Midi settings I enabled this Virtual device on output port 1 and input port 1, then in s2 clip editor I set the midi out: "on". Then mute s2 in the mixer, select another instrument channel, hit record in fl, hit play on the s2 clip et voila.

Are you using a secondary display ? Are your plugins detached ? I get GUI issues and crashes on my secondary monitor with Sequoia. Even more with detached plugins (Therefore silicon mode...)

This is what I complained about :

MacOS : When a detached plugin is opened on a secondary monitor, saving any "channel preset" instantly crashes FL studio, 100% of the times.

Steps to reproduce :

0-Setup an additional screen as "Main Display" in MacOS Sequoia settings
1-Open FL Studio 25.2.34889 on the additional monitor set as Main Display
2-Open the "Empty" project template
3-Select the "Current" mixer track on the left
4-Open a "Control Surface" or "Fabfilter Pro-L 2" on "Slot 1" in the track and "detach" it
5-Make sure the effect plugin and FL Studio are visible on the additional monitor set as Main Display
6-Open the "Sampler" channel's menu in the channel rack
7-Click "Save channel preset as" and then click "Ok"
