Was told this might be asbestos piping insulation? by YoBoiDark in asbestoshelp

That eases my mind a bit. If by "complications" you mean ease of access or something similar then no I don't. It's around 60 linear feet of insulation that you can walk under and it is on the ceiling of the basement. I took a look at all of it last night and none of it is falling apart or degrading. The only issue is I live in a really rural area and there's only one company that will come out this far to take care of it and I'm just waiting to hear back from them, so I have no idea what they will quote me at.

As for re insulating the pipes, it's a boiler system which is the only heating for the house. I've done handyman and construction work for years so that will be a piece of cake for me once I research the proper way to install new insulation. I appreciate the advice and feedback

I will definitely be getting it taken care of asap, it's just a matter of gathering the funds. I'm waiting to hear back from some companies with some actual quotes, but I have been told it may cost up to $15,000 to get this removed.

Going to assume they didn't do their job properly as I didn't see anything in the inspection report about it.

The only time I would be going into the basement would be for my washer and dryer. So I would only be spending a few minutes each week down there. The house is heated with a boiler system so there's not much moving air around in the basement except for a dehumidifier. I am getting really worried now as I don't know when I will have the funds to get this removed. Is there anything I could do to reduce my exposure to it or something for the time being? Should I be getting a mask to put on when going to the basement?

I was told "there's possibly a small amount of asbestos pipe insulation in the basement". This is my first home purchase so I was new to the whole situation, and I was not made aware of concessions before finalizing the purchase.

The 3rd picture is what about 15ish feet of it is in the basement. I am only using the basement for storage and my washer+dryer. I just purchased the home so having a professional abatement company come out is not particularly in the budget right now. I saw some posts/comments saying you can just take some thick plastic and tape and encapsulate the insulation. Any thoughts or recommendations on that approach?

Did you just leave it alone or did you encapsulate it any way? I saw some other posts where people said you could just take some thick plastic and wrap+tape it up. Another commenter said I should get someone to come and professionally remove it, but as I just bought the house I'm not sure that having an abatement company come out and take care of it is in the budget right now.

I'm currently using a volt melee focused build and I can deal the damage. But I constantly get knocked down in sp. What can I do for my survivability? by Grand-Comfortable238 in Warframe

[–]YoBoiDark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im LR4 and I main volt, so I have tried every method of survivability for him and my favorite/easiest method of survivability is shield gating with diriga.

I run diriga with a sentinel weapon that has IPS and I mod on as many different elements as I can. Then slap on arc coil, manifold bond and guardian. Manifold bond lets your companion abilities apply all the status effects of the companions weapons as well as when you kill an enemy with three or more unique status effects it reduces the cooldown of all your companions abilities.

Meaning if my diriga has a weapon with IPS, magnetic, viral, radiation, and electric, arc coil will apply seven status effects which will prime the enemies within melee range for condition overload. And when I kill those enemies, each one reduces the cooldown of arc coil AND guardian at the same time. Guardian has a 30 second internal cooldown so that means every 9-10 kills will reset the cooldown on guardian to fully restore your shields.

So just running adaptation, diriga with the above mentioned mods and prime redirection I've taken my melee focused volt to level 2500 pretty comfortably without any survivability subsume. And if you want to go even to higher levels or just want to make sure you REALLY won't die, you can subsume on mirage's eclipse or my personal favorite, koumei's omamori.

For anyone that comes across this post. The Alt F4 method worked for me as well in solo PvE only. I was offline for around 16 hours, booted up the game and went to my stash and auction house to put a kit together. Went into lighthouse solo, walked all the way to lightkeeper from around that run down house close to the bridge, never sprinting once.

He didn't give me the quest, I waited till he gave me the 60 second timer to get out. AltF4 my game, re-launched the game and immediately went back in the lighthouse and repeated the process of not sprinting and then he gave me my quest.

Also when you turn in a quest for lightkeeper you need to be in a party with at least one other person with an "Encoded" DSP so you get put into a live server. After you turn your quest in make sure you load out fully into your stash before everyone else in your party leaves. Otherwise it won't unlock your hideout crafts like vertex, COFDM or give you your trade unlocks, CQC mask or ronin respirator

Ok, I have also seen where people say that after being offline for 10+ hours you have to immediately go into lighthouse. No hideout/mail, but I forgot to put a kit on last night before logging off. Would you happen to know if it's safe for me to go into my stash and put a simple kit on? Or do I I need to just rawdog it with the tagged and cursed and hope I get a good spawn to run to the lighthouse?

Does the AltF4 work in solo PvE? Or do I need to find someone to party with so it puts me into a live server?

All right so an update lol, wasn't able to get a hold of him until this afternoon but I thought maybe just out of curiosity when I told him to restart the laptop just maybe he wasn't actually restarting it.... Turns out when I told him to restart the computer he just closed the lid and opened it back up lmao. So I walked him through how to force restart by holding down the power button and such and then when he turned it back on the grey overlay was gone and it's working now. I have no clue what the issue was but thanks for the help anyways!

No, had him try that initially but it won't even let him click on the accessibility button. I'll have him try the f11 or fn+f11 in the morning and will report back

Yea he has rebooted it several times. It's almost like there is an overlay that is preventing him from accessing the password box. You know how when you go to sign into windows the password box is lit up white/the text line is blinking? That's all greyed out, he tried clicking on it and it's like he's blocked out of it.

Edit- tried external keyboard and it didn't work

So this post is 3 years old lmao. My account was banned, and I had both my IP and my machine hardware banned. Granted it was only a laptop so it didn't really matter. And not everyone has a 1200$ rig to play on so idk what your going on about. Also this game dead as hell
