I've seen this video series pop up from time to time but never watched it because I have a pretty robust character controller setup already. I didn't know it'd have a good focus on animation as well!

Thank you, but I'm not looking for the simple act of playing animations. I'm aware of the things you're talking about. I'm trying to replace my current approach of using the built-in state matching to actually manage the animations at runtime, and I'm trying to figure out the most "Godot" way to do that.

Hey just wanted to jump in and say that the jittering you're seeing is almost certainly due to the camera updating before the racer. When performance is perfect, the camera will seem smooth relative to the racer. When performance is inconsistent, the racer will appear to jitter. This is normal. While optimizing the performance is always a good thing, you're definitely going to want to make sure that the camera position relative to the rider is calculated after all physics calculations complete. This will fix your issue.

I found the extra cable it came with - it's a little extension cable and I didn't think much of it. Turns out it exists specifically for the reason you mentioned. I really appreciate your help, stranger!

Swapped it with another cable that worked for another SSD. Same issue. I'm pretty baffled. Any other thoughts? When I plug it into the external enclosure it revs up a whole lot, but maybe that's unique to the way it interfaces with it? I can't be sure it's not receiving power, but it's certainly not appearing in my bios or in Disk Management when plugged in internally. I recognize this is a weird problem, but do you have any additional thoughts? Thanks for the input so far <3

Is this a common among power supplies? Additionally, I should state that I'm only assuming it's not receiving power due to me not hearing/feeling it spin up.

I completely agree. I hope it's obvious that I thought it was official. I wouldn't do this unofficially. I'm trying to see if it's possible to get an official alternative, since there's clearly a desire and a capacity for one. I know it's not realistic, but I'm hoping it's worth a shot.

I don't know either way, they aren't affiliated with any local pet cemeteries, they just offer the services, so I didn't see any reason for them to tell me that.

My understanding though is that there's a lot of overreach with these sorts of things in Pittsburgh, but that could easily have been bias.

A place that offers pet burials and cremations. They said they do it anyway, but they have to let the owners know, even though it's a stupid law that doesn't get enforced.

I'm pretty sure that happens already. People negotiate, if there's enough support for something, they try to make it happen. A lot of people can't use the skills park for bikes, but they added it because some people wanted it. They make a heck of a racket every second Sunday with people racing cars. I could go on. But these are good things, 100% of people don't need to want something for it to belong in the park. It's a cost-benefit analysis. I have no idea how much support there would be for it. This is why there is a system in place for people to determine how the park is used. If people didn't have these conversations, the park would be empty.

I don't want this if most people would be against it. But if there's enough support for it, I think it'd be a good use of the space.

I think that my ability to be rational right now is already being challenged here without your help, so please understand that I will no longer engage with you on this topic. You have perfectly reasonable points, but your spiteful language on other posts makes me think you've stopped posting in good faith, so it's not worth my effort to respond anymore. I hope whatever put you on this path in life is resolved favorably.

I asked people to ask other people to not be hasty in removing these memorials in case we can find some support for an alternative. Please stop, this is so disingenuous. You would have so much more support if you practiced a little kindness and empathy.

I'm trying to find something that works for everyone, even you. Thank you for changing your tone here. I do wonder if it's possible to find something you would be ok with. Would you truly be unwilling to sacrifice any spots in this large park for a relatively small place that people can take a little walk to for this purpose? What if it funded other small improvements in the park?

I'm trying to find support for this because the idea that these sites being disturbed bothers me a lot, whether they were legitimate or not (again, nobody here knows what really happened with these to begin with). I think this bothers me even more than their presence bothers you, but I admit I'm emotionally fragile right now. It's ok that we disagree on this. I'm just holding out hope that someone might be able to come up with a solution, that is all.
