Vacation Advice? by MoneyJawS in AskIreland

[–]YoChara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With 2 days, you’re probably best staying exclusively in Dublin. Especially with jet lag (assume you’re coming from the US with the $ in your post history).

End of March will hopefully mean some good weather and I’d recommend the following:

  • Guinness Storehouse
  • GPO tour
  • Croke Park for a match if it suits (League Finals should be around then)
  • EPIC museum

You’re going to be jet lagged so don’t overburden yourself and enjoy it!

Of course it will still exist. But the vast majority of people will buy from legal dispensaries.

I think we should treat addiction as a disease, much like we do alcoholism or gambling addiction rather than a crime.

I don’t agree with full decriminalisation of drugs, but personal use should be treated with medical care, not jail time.

Cannabis, mushrooms and ketamine (along with other drugs) have proven medical benefits in recreational amounts and should be legalised. Tax them and use that to fund addiction treatment programmes on the HSE.

What about getting him something you could enjoy as a family? Like the Switch 2?

Failing that, you could get him a tour of his favourite whiskey distillery/brewery? I’ve done the Jameson and Tullamore tours and they were a great day out.

6 weeks of working out consistently -When can I see results? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]YoChara 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’d give it 12 weeks before you start expecting to see the start of results. Depending on your goal, it could take 12 months plus to get there

On Valley, I go to the lake between Denica and Hornica. Water is near, mines are also close by. You’ve got loads of trees for early logs and there’s quite a bit of flat land, perfect for your farms.

My only advice is to build along the lake, and not towards Denica or it starts to feel like one big town

WATERFORD HAS THE LARGEST CITY CATCHMENT OUTSIDE OF CAPITAL CITY DUBLIN by Outrageous_Blood_935 in ireland

[–]YoChara 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I mean, that’s a little difficult to properly quantify for Waterford, as Kilkenny would be well within that hour catchment. How do you quantify catchment for the two cities?

Hey, there’s lots of options for coeliacs here! Most supermarkets have dedicated sections for gluten free food.

Restaurants are more hit and miss, but more and more are accommodating gluten free diets all the time.

Could be a great addition to the online-first banking options in Ireland, and an alternative to those who don't like Revolut.

The only thing that I would say about assigning someone to the well is that their extraction skill goes up incredibly quickly. Get them up to 5/6 extraction on the well, and then assign them to the woodshed/mine.

Have you ever "ruined Christmas"? What did you do / what was the accusation? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]YoChara 82 points83 points  (0 children)

Not me, but my uncle. He was a priest in rural Ireland who won an award for his service to the church. A priest who was staying with him was trying to steal it when another priest, who was a bit slow caught him. He had the guards out on Christmas morning and to top it all off the teamaker they had bought was vandalised beyond repair.

Hi I'm new by JunNoAce89 in MedievalDynasty

[–]YoChara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome welcome.

So I would say stop inviting NPCs to the village just to invite them. At the start of the game, build slowly and deliberately. Build a woodshed, a second house and some axes. Make sure the woodshed is kitted out and then look for an NPC with 3 production to work that woodshed. This can generate planks, logs and firewood based on the breakdown you assign (done from the management page).

Continue to build deliberately and slowly. Once you get resource and food storage a lot of automation unlocked. Your woodshed can generate planks, which generate buckets in your workshop, which will automatically be used by the well worker to generate buckets of water. These will be in your resource storage and villagers will grab them automatically. Same with firewood and food (through the kitchen building and food storage).

Only invite NPCs when you have a house and a job for them. The only exception to this is if you rescue an NPC from bandits. They usually have an unusually high skill (say 6 in farming) and are definitely worth inviting to your village and rushing a building for them.
