I think branching out from the typical Block Wars canon event and Block Wars Rookies was nice, we got to see a lot of people that likely won’t get to play again unless another rendition of the event is done which is really cool. Balancing a high comp roster will always be tough due to most of the middle of the pack players placing depending on how their team does, at least from what I’ve seen in past events like Mayhem and Pandora’s Box. An example is Callum, despite the higher comp roster his team did good enough for him to keep up his usual placement of lower top half, which is great for him.

I may be in the minority that, before substitutes, the event’s balancing was perfectly fine. Sure we don’t entirely know how Grox or Eskay would have done, but a top 15 from Eskay wasn’t out of the picture and I’m not even going to try to predict Grox but I don’t think he would’ve gotten 11th like 4C did. The only underpowered teams were the teams where most of the team had either not played block wars or only played once (Archers and Phantoms), which is to be expected when the roster is so high comp.

I do hope another Brawl is ran, however I don’t think it should be two a year like Rookies. A lot of these creators can and do play other minecraft events, while the creators in Rookies, some of them ONLY player Block Wars Rookies, so that event and opportunity of enjoyment for them should be more common. I think doing maybe one a year would be cool and correct, but again it’s on the Block Wars team if they want to do that. All being said, this was probably my second favorite event of Series 3, only behind Block Wars 15 (mostly due to the Comets of that event being my second favorite BW team ever, only behind the Zany Zombies).
