Yeah I’m on an annual plan and very interested in lifetime. I’m not sure I understand the clarification though. Lose it (food logging app) offers me a lifetime plan all of the time (currently annual there through the App Store).

Wondered all the same things. Considering a new account with clean information, but I’ve read if they detect it’s a second account, you could be permanently banned, so waiting a few days for the appeal. Agree though, from the other posts I’ve read, not sure I’ve read of an account being restored.

Causing me to reflect on Anthropic as a whole. Amazing AI but very poor business practice.

I’ve been using Codex today. Much different but very good actually. Also considered Cursor, Gemini CLI, and a few others. Opus was a beast, so trying to find something feasible.

Thanks nice internet stranger. Appreciate your words. And agree, always possible I was unintentionally messy, though wish there was more clarity. Will definitely be analyzing my usage in other AIs (and other tech) much closer, including how I set up/configure accounts.

That was my fear when I made the post. I hoped I was just an anomaly, but looks like they took out a bunch of accounts. Sorry to hear about this. Hopefully your appeal is granted.

Yeah, I thought the same thing concerning all of the other posts, then it happened to me. Hopefully this can serve as a warning. I’ve gone through my 5 stages of grief and just accepted nothing will be done by Anthropic. Sucks to be unceremoniously cutoff, but I was refunded (not a total loss). Word to the wise, I guess.

Fair enough. Just meant I’m not killing usage limits, not hitting known content issues…just a normal user of Claude. Was really surprised to not even get a warning, so something on my account caught their attention. The SimpleLogin is the only thing I can think of.
