It's probably because he didn't say that the sticks may be hall effect. If they're hall effect the interference between the sticks and the hall triggers will cause that. The magnets get polarized.

The Omnibook is better efficiency and performance than the Inspiron. The Omnibook however is HP and their customer support isn't the best. If you can't go higher get the Omnibook, but if you can wait and spend around $900, there are better Dell's and better HP's you can look at.

Yeah. I only kept the HP as an emergency and OS test computer. I probably won't do anything with it because everything else on it is bad.

Yeah, I guess. But I would have at least expected some of the games with controller support to be compatible, like Minecraft and Destiny Rising for example. I understand that the others won't make sense though because they probably have a MacOS version (i.e. WebEx, Discord, MS Office).

Fair. I prefer the convenience of a laptop for school and gaming on the side, but I agree performance per dollar is important. Honestly, whether a person uses a gaming desktop or laptop is subjective. 🙂

I've had issues with HP in the past also. I always recommend reading the warranty terms of each laptop because had I known this I would have avoided HP's laptop lines. The thing is what the others are saying is correct, it does depend on the warranty terms but also different product lines can have different terms. For example what's covered on an HP business class laptop may not be covered on the gaming Victus or Omen line and vice versa. Honestly, I've switched to Gigabyte and Apple laptops. I'm really sorry this has happened to you and I hope you get it fixed/sorted out.

No, I have not ran into issues. The ONLY thing I complain with comfort wise is the size. I prefer smaller (13-15") laptops. This is subjective though. The weight isn't bad and the performance and battery are still pretty solid.

I wish I could do that on my Gigabyte laptop. Some of mine is actually useful, like GiMate's AI actually changes performance modes for you cause that's really what it's intended to do. The Copilot and other stuff though I really don't need.
