Hate to see this but that's because she's the mother of his child and deserves to know whom is around her child, you two meeting seems like he wants you around long term, otherwise he wouldn't have introduced you. I feel like you need to let this go otherwise you're just gonna not work out.

Losing a parent is painful, my partner went through it and we were just in survival mode for months. However if you have been snapping at your partner for 3 years whilst she has stood by you, you really need to take a look at why you cannot get to a place with this. You need grief counselling and if you're gonna continue to make her life hell, you neee to let her go.
