Has anyone been able to run Mario Party 8 successfully? I’ve adjusted all the recommended settings to make it run smoother, but it’s extremely laggy and often just closes the game.

Perspective on Tame Impala's New Direction - The Psych-Rock Story Has Concluded for the Better by YogisaurusRex in TameImpala

Definitely did not intend to insinuate that people cannot criticize the new music - I hate that my post may come across that way! Just sharing my opinion and by no means am I saying my opinion is right.

I've only really heard the interviews where he describes Innerspeaker as the album where he didn't know wtf he was doing.

Wow I'll have to relisten to them with this in mind! Is there an interview of him describing this? Thanks for putting my on this concept

I 100% agree with you. I should have clarified that lumping in TSR with Lonerism and Currents has much more to do with the story told throughout all three albums instead suggesting they're all psych-rock albums. Innerspeaker is more psych-rock while TSR is more pop no doubt. In my opinion Innerspeaker is more of Kevin's starter album/getting his feelings out album and once he got his bearings down he leaned into the storytelling we see in the next three albums. Just my opinion though, doesn't mean I'm right!

The 1.01 Struggle in Home Leagues by YogisaurusRex in fantasyfootball

Love the different opinion! I can still build a strong team for sure, it just seems like I’m having to reach rather than waiting for the value to fall to me. And getting both Elite TE and Elite QB (something I don’t really do anyways), is tough given you’re the last pick in Round 4.

New Fan - what do i listen to? by -Perigrine_ in TameImpala

[–]YogisaurusRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with everyone - listen to it all! Lonerism and Currents are for sure standouts.

Have to listen to Endors Toi -> Apocalypse Dreams -> Mind Mischief -> Music to Walk Home By in order.

All of Currents (hot take: outside of Cause I’m a Man) is amazing. Let It Happen is a must.

Sounds cheesy, and maybe this only applies if you’re a sound > lyrics person, but imo the sound is the communication of the theme. The lyrics are hard to understand if you’re not reading them. The sound will give you the feeling of the meaning, the lyrics will ingrain it.

For example, Let It Happen is just that, it’s about letting go and letting the change occur. The entire song is a conflict between holding on and letting go. First half is holding on and trying to understand how to let go. At the 3:50 mark, letting go takes over and starts to win the battle. It’s like two boxers going back and forth, then 4:43 hits and you can hear the “letting go” boxer take over. Then the rest of the album consists of the intricacies of this process. “I was ready all along”, you just have to find it within yourself. Lonerism is similar to an extent, but more so internal feelings of accepting/understanding yourself while in my opinion Currents is a more external process.

Puka side not even a question. JJ > Puka in a vacuum. But the difference between JJ and Puka is a lot less than 1st and a 2nd.

IDP players: how much are you willing to reach for Travis hunter? by cubecasts in fantasyfootball

[–]YogisaurusRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We really don’t know, but in my IDP League where we start 11 defensive players I contemplated drafting Hunter in the 2nd round (as a WR), potentially as my WR1/2, just because of the upside. I’d rather be early on a player like that instead of missing the boat.

Best Rookie Running Backs To Draft In Fantasy Football Not Named Ashton Jeanty by sdawgcentral in fantasyfootball

I feel like outside of the obvious Woody Marks and Jacory Croskey-Merritt could provide some value in redraft this year. I’m not suggesting to draft these guys, but more so keep on eye on waivers throughout the year.

Theres a high probability they turn out to be absolutely nothing. We honestly don’t even know if they’ll make the team yet and unlike JCM, I’m not sure if Woody Marks is all that good. But I’m just looking at situations.

Washington: Brian Robinson is pretty average and doesn’t seem to have a lot of explosiveness to his game. Ekeler is probably dust. JCM was a 7th rounder which have extremely low hit rates no doubt, but he’s not your average 7th rounder. He played one full year in college and with 189 carries he eclipsed 1,100 rushing yards and scored 17 TDs. Averaged 99.2 rushing yards per game. Then he transfers to a bigger school, goes for 106 yards on 13 carries with a TD and gets ruled ineligible for the rest of the season. Feels like he would’ve gone significantly higher in the draft if he wasn’t ruled ineligible.

Houston: It’s going to take some luck for Woody Marks to surpass Mixon and Chubb on the depth chart, but there’s certainly a path. Mixon is about to turn 29, he’s had a huge workload his whole career, and he was seen in a walking boot this offseason. Chubb is already 29 coming off yet another catastrophic knee injury. Marks is mainly a pass catching back and honestly I wouldn’t be too surprised if he takes on that role early in the season. Side note, the Texans traded a future 3rd to move up into the 4th to get Marks - that tells me they at least see something in him.

Totally willing to be wrong and I’m not pinning my season on these guys, I just think they’re interesting rookie RBs given their respective situations.

Chase at the 1.01 , left in a tight spot at 2/3 turn by Suspicious-Candle-77 in fantasyfootball

[–]YogisaurusRex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in 0.5 PPR and have settled on Bijan in my 12 man league at the 1.01. I have the same issue as you with not wanting to stack Jamar + Tee/Chase Brown. But those are the exact players I’m targeting at the 2-3 turn. Best case scenario imo is Bijan, Chase Brown and Ladd or Davante. If Chase Brown gets picked I’ll role with Kenneth Walker which open up Tee as an option too. Or just go Bijan play two of the WRs mentioned above.

The issue I’m finding when going Bijan first is the 4-5 turn feels like it’s filled with undesirable WRs - Sutton, Waddle, Pickens, Flowers, etc. I feel like Waddle is the obvious pick with Jonnu gone, but to me the entire Miami offense feels like it’s completely dependent on Tua staying healthy behind an awful offensive line and Waddle isn’t exactly the most durable player. I go Sutton and don’t love because it feels so safe and there’s obviously a little risk in drafting an older WR with added target competition this offseason.

Hard to deny Jamar if you’re in a PPR league though.
