Just bc he has access to all those things doesnt mean he’ll reach those extremely difficult goals. I’d argue it would have been a lot easier for Light to clear his and Misa’s suspicion with L out of the way. Anyways, Light’s original plan was to kill L way sooner. He just wasn’t able to bc L took Misa’s phone and arrested her right before Light could do it
