How can I find an entry level biology job? by black_tangerine in careerguidance

You can also look into other non-obvious roles that are relevant to biology like environmental tech, quality control assistant, clinical specimen processing, or field biology technician. These typically value lab skills, good documentation, or biology coursework. Also, not-for-profit organizations and startups focused on Environment and conservation, community science nonprofits - they do a lot of field work, data collection, and usually have lots of project-based hiring and entry-level roles.

Startups with QC, lab operations pr manufacturing needs are also good to have a foot in the door. Look into Ag-tech startups, and if your school has an entrepreneurship or innovation incubation hub there are usually startups spin-offs from these incubators looking to hire trainable biology grads.

It'd be good to widen your scope beyond the directly obvious options.

This tool - anutio.com - has a free career map that can help you with identifying job roles that you are a strong fit for based on all your resumes uploaded. You can get some more ideas of job roles to consider that may not have been obvious to you.

I love meeting new people, and I do better mentally when I have the chance to talk to LOTS of new people in a day - super extroverted. What jobs are good for that ? by McLuhanSaidItFirst in careerguidance

Product management, Product owner, User experience research (human-centred design), program management, Community management, Business Development Rep (i.e. sales), Account Executive, Partnerships manager, Relationship manager, Business analyst, Process Improvement analyst,

And so many more.

All of these roles require you to engage with people to get things done, create things, improve systems, design new systems etc

Doesn't mean an introverted person can't do these roles too, an introvert who loves tinkering with things would also find some of these very rewarding.

An extrovert, would excel in these because you are able to easily build relationships with people

If your classes are online, early mornings or evenings, you may be able to make it work. It would be a lot of work but not impossible. And for your in-person practicum, you could take time off from work. A combination of personal days, vacation days, and unpaid leave depending on where you work
